The next update of World of Warcraft has been announced. We reveal what is in Patch 11.1.5 – and when it will probably start.

It wasn’t long ago that Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt for World of Warcraft was released. But the developers are setting a strong pace. Immediately after the release, the next update was already revealed—Patch 11.1.5. It comes with three major features that should appeal to pretty much every type of player. Whether you’re a collector, raider, or casual adventurer, now is a great time to Buy WOW Gold and prepare for everything this patch has to offer.

The most important things in brief:

  • There is a new faction with 10 fame levels, new events in Heilsturz and Azj-Kahet.
  • Cunning Duos is a new 6-week event where you fight old bosses – several at once.
  • Horrific visions from Battle for Azeroth return, with new rewards and challenges.
  • There are no new raids or dungeons, the patch is still part of Season 2.
  • Patch 11.1.5 doesn’t have a release date yet, but May 2025 is likely.

The New Features of Patch 11.1.5

There are a total of 3 major new core features of Patch 11.1.5.

Nightfall – New Glory faction with activities

The story of the Arathi of Healing Fall continues. After Queen Ansurek is overthrown, chaos reigns among the Nerubians. The Sureki, the loyalists of the Fallen Queen, continue their attacks against the Arathi. The new faction “Rays of Flame” opposes the Nightfall. You climb several ranks and collect glory in the process, which unlocks new rewards in the form of transmog, mount adjustments, and buffs in Heilsturz in Azj-Kahet.

This goes hand in hand with new quests and several scenarios in which the characters are divided into several fireteams.

Cunning Duos – Boss Fights with a Hook

Sometime after the release of the patch, the “Cunning Duos” event will start for 6 weeks. In this event, you register as a group and have to fight bosses in their “animatronic” version in an arena.

The special highlight: You have to fight several bosses at the same time, so their mechanics overlap and should cause a lot of chaos. Initially, only 4 bosses are available, but new bosses are unlocked with each week.

Even though the event is called “Cunning Duos”, you can fight more than just two bosses at the same time – but whether you can withstand this chaos is something you’ll have to prove first.

The rewards here are cosmetic items such as transmogs and toys – and of course the right to brag about your own high score and consider yourself the hottest champion of Azeroth.

Disturbing visions – but even harder

Horrific Visions were a core feature of the last patch in Battle for Azeroth – and they’re returning. Once again, you’ll be able to venture into the twisted, nightmarish world of N’Zoth’s Stormwind and Orgrimmar. As before, you’ll have to try to be quick enough to avoid falling into madness.

Not only can you earn the old rewards, but also a lot of new ones – including current equipment at “heroic” raid level – at least if you master the corresponding difficulties.

As before, there will also be masks that you can use to activate additional affixes, such as reduced mental health. The old masks will be available, but there will also be three new ones that you can only unlock in the course of the visions.

Of course, there are also new rewards in the form of mounts, toys, weapon enchantments, and transmogs.

When will patch 11.1.5 be released?

In the meantime, the developers at Blizzard have revealed the concrete roadmap for the new patch. The content is to be released in stages:

  • April 23: Night Fall Scenario, Cooldown Manager, and the Winds of Mysterious Luck
  • May 21: Comeback of the Horrific Visions
  • 4 June: Cunning duos
