Blood Moon Essence is a valuable currency in Remnant 2, used to unlock powerful weapons, gear, and even an entire archetype. You can find it primarily in the Yaesha world. The key to farming Blood Moon Essence is understanding how Root Wisps behave and how to trigger the Blood Moon event.

Root Wisp Farming

• Target the Purple Wisps: Root Wisps, identifiable by their purple glow, are the primary source of Blood Moon Essence. These flying creatures appear sporadically throughout Yaesha.
• Equip a Long-Range Weapon: Since Wisps move quickly and unpredictably, a weapon with good range and accuracy is crucial for efficient farming.
• Utilize the Blood Moon: Triggering a Blood Moon event by defeating the Ravager Beast or using a special item greatly increases the number of Root Wisps available for farming.
• Reset the Area: Once you’ve cleared an area of Root Wisps, simply move through a door or portal to reset the spawn, allowing you to farm more Essence in the same location.

The Ravager Beast and the Blood Moon Choice

After solving the Music Harp Puzzle in Yaesha, you will encounter the Ravager Beast. During this encounter, you will have the option to kill or spare a doe. Choosing to kill the doe will trigger a Blood Moon, resulting in a surge of Root Wisps for you to farm.

How to Use Blood Moon Essence in Remnant 2

The Blood Moon Altar is the only place in Yaesha where you can use Blood Moon Essence to purchase unique items. These altars are identifiable by their small crafting station design and a distinct Blood Moon image. You can also spot them on the minimap as small blue icons.

Items Available at the Blood Moon Altar:

• Faded Grimoire: This item unlocks the powerful Summoner Archetype. It requires 1,500 Scrap, 5 Lumenite Crystals, and 15 Blood Moon Essence.
• Knotted Helm, Cage, and Greaves: These are armor pieces offering unique bonuses.
• Soul Anchor and Soul Guard: These are amulets and rings, respectively, with powerful effects.
• Blade of Gul: A melee weapon with a unique damage profile.
• Sanguine Vapor: A concoction offering specific benefits.

By using the farming methods outlined above, you can quickly amass Blood Moon Essence and acquire the valuable items available at the Blood Moon Altar.
