WoW Gnome Cheer Chest Loot Titel Title 1280x720 1 780x438 1

Rare mounts will soon be added to World of Warcraft. A new buff makes them much more common.

Some mounts in World of Warcraft are rare. So rare that there are always posts in the game’s subreddit that players have finally come into possession of this mount after 10 or even 15 years. This is because the drop chance is often 1% and each character has only one attempt per week. Buy WOW Gold to speed up your progress and maximize your chances by gearing up multiple characters more efficiently.

Now your time has come. Blizzard is temporarily increasing the drop chance of these mounts and other items by 900% in July – 10 times the previous value.

Which items are affected?

Basically, all items from “legacy” content, i.e. dungeons and raids, that were in the game before Dragonflight. The drop rate for special mounts is 1% in most raids, so it increases to a whopping 10% during the event.

Transmog is also said to be affected. Blizzard has not yet given any specific details here, but the chance of transmog is said to be “doubled” – so presumably legacy bosses will simply leave behind twice the amount of loot.

Pets and toys are to be excluded from this, as well as all content of the time walk. However, there seem to be at least some exceptions, because the Jaraxxus Hearthstone card benefits from this bonus, even though it is a toy.

How long is the event active?

Basically, almost the whole of July, namely from 01.07.2025 to 29.07.2025. During this time, you can take advantage of the increased drop chances and maybe you should cancel one or two raid evenings to play old content instead – because it’s never been so easy to get some of the special mounts.

Will you use the coming weeks to finally add some long-awaited mounts to your collection? Or are you annoyed that you’ve been farming for many years and now it’s made so much easier?
Of course, if you want, you can also collect fish during this time. About 10,000,000, like a crazy player.
