Lost Ark Gets Witcher Crossover Soon

Lost Ark x Witcher

The crossover between Lost Ark and The Witcher was teased as early as November, exciting many fans. The Witcher 3 has been a beloved RPG for both hardcore and casual players, so having a collaborative event with one of the largest MMOs in recent years is a dream come true for gamers. Thankfully, this collaboration is more than just a few Witcher-inspired skins in the store. If you’re looking to gear up for the event or power up your characters, don’t forget to Buy Lost Ark Gold to enhance your gaming experience.

A New Island, New Quests, and Some Familiar Faces

Geralt of Rivia, Ciri, Yennefer, and other iconic characters have arrived in Arkesia after a dimensional rift rips them from the Continent. Their arrival has created a new island called “White Wolf’s Rest” in the Sea of Gienah. This time-limited area will offer various activities and quests for adventurers.

Players can access the island after completing the “[Event] Unidentified Vortex” quest from Guild Investigator NPCs found in all major cities. The area is event-exclusive and will disappear once the collaboration ends. Players should make the most of the services and benefits offered on the island.

Beyond the new missions, players can also send their characters on expeditions for the “[Event] Unidentified Whirlpool.” Adventurers on this voyage can earn various rewards. Additionally, players can engage in special quests offering unique prizes like potions from The Witcher. Here are some examples of what players can expect from the event:

  • Excellent Thunderbolt Potion
  • Excellent Lot Potion
  • Excellent Blizzard Potion
  • 5 Witcher-related Cards (2022 The Witcher Collaboration Card Set)
  • 10 The Witcher-inspired emoticons
  • The Trail Jukebox Music
  • Geralt of Rivia Jukebox Music
  • Kaer Morhen Jukebox Music
  • The Witcher-inspired Character Customization Pattern Options
  • Witcher-themed Wallpaper for Character Selection

The consumables will only be available during the event and will be removed from character inventories once the crossover ends. However, other items like skins, wallpapers, cards, and music will remain even after the collaboration ends.

Witcher 3 Skins

Alongside these new quests and rewards, event skins will be available in the in-game store. These character outfits allow players to resemble their favorite Witchers. Female classes gain access to a cosmetic line based on Ciri, while male characters can equip armor and appearances similar to Geralt of Rivia. Weapon event skins inspired by the Continent’s arsenal will also be released for players to enjoy.

Free-to-play adventurers will also receive freebie cosmetics. A new Mokoko Skin-set based on The Witcher will be given out during the collab. This outfit has four variants: White, Black, Brown, and Green.

The First Collaboration in Lost Ark

Lost Ark’s inclusion of various characters and Witcher-inspired skins marks the first collaboration in the game. While crossovers are common in online games, MMOs rarely participate in these events due to the risk of disrupting player immersion. World of Warcraft has yet to host a collaboration, while FFXIV’s crossover with NieR was expected given both games originate from the same company. Lost Ark will be one of the few MMOs to venture into this territory in recent years, joining games like Destiny 2.

When Will the Event Happen?

The Lost Ark x The Witcher collab is currently live on KR servers, running until December 18. Players from Lost Ark West will have to wait another month as the crossover for those regions is scheduled for January. While a specific date has yet to be announced, it’s likely to happen in the second or third week. However, there are plenty of new experiences for players to enjoy while they wait for the collab to arrive.

Players in the West will be busy tackling the latest Legion Raid. Brelzasha, the commander of the Phantom Legion, is set to appear as the fourth end-game raid boss. While she has been available on other servers for a while, this will be her first appearance as a Legion Raid boss in Lost Ark West.
