On May 20, 2026, HoYoverse launched Genshin Impact Version 6.6: Luna VII. The patch does something the community has been waiting four years for — it returns players to Sumeru and closes out the “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana” Archon Quest, a storyline teased all the way back in the 2022 Teyvat Preview trailer. It is a genuine narrative milestone.
Three New Characters, One Big Boss
Phase 1 introduces Nicole Reeyn, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst user from the Hexenzirkel (codenamed “N”), alongside 4-star Anemo Catalyst support Prune. Phase 2 (June 10–June 30) brings Lohen, a Cryo Polearm user described as stronger than Varka — a significant claim — plus Mavuika on rerun.
The new weekly boss is the Exalted Master of the Heretical Path, a fearsome variant of Il Dottore. For players building into the Hexenzirkel faction team comp, this version is the entry point.
Lohen Goes Standard After Debut — Pull Now or Pay Later
One key detail: Lohen is expected to move to the Standard Banner after his debut window closes. That means players who miss Phase 2 will have no guarantee of pulling him without extreme resource expenditure. His debut window is the optimal time.
Start with an Account That’s Already Ahead
A new Genshin account takes months to reach the Adventure Rank and Primogem reserves needed to meaningfully participate in banner pulls and endgame content like the Spiral Abyss. iGV.com lists Genshin Impact accounts with existing Primogem stashes, high AR levels, and established character rosters — letting you jump into Version 6.6 content without spending months on early-game tutorial loops.
