Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Tokyo kicks off May 29 and runs through June 1 at Tokyo Waterfront City. The headliners are massive — Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y are making their Super Mega Raid debuts, Zeraora is featured as a Mythical encounter, and Shiny Paldean Tauros appears in 3-Star Raids. For trainers who missed earlier Fest events, this is one of the most stacked weekends on the 2026 calendar.
The Event Lineup Around It
May has been relentless for Pokémon GO players. The month included a Lechonk Community Day (May 9), a Deino Community Day Classic (May 16), a Mega Falinks Super Mega Raid Day (May 23), and now GO Fest Tokyo to close it out. Running alongside all of it is Blanche’s Quest for Knowledge (May 26 – June 1), the Memories in Motion GO Battle League season, and the month’s regular Max Battles featuring Dynamax Combee.
The Trainer Level Gap Is Real
Participating meaningfully in Super Mega Raids against Mega Mewtwo X and Y requires a high-level account with strong counters already powered up. The difference between a Level 30 account and a Level 40+ account with a meta-relevant team is the difference between getting carried and actually contributing.
iGV.com offers Pokémon GO trainer accounts at various levels, with some featuring rare or legacy catches that take years to assemble organically. If GO Fest Tokyo is on your radar, browsing the available listings before the event weekend is worth the few minutes it takes.
