Starfield Hits 15 Million Players as Patch Adds Achievement-Friendly Creations, New Land Vehicle and Quest
Starfield Update 1.14.74 patch notes:
Bethesda’s Starfield has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 15 million players since its September 2023 launch. This impressive figure underscores the game’s captivating gameplay and broad appeal. The game’s success is further highlighted by its record-breaking launch, surpassing The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4 in terms of initial player numbers, largely attributed to its inclusion in Game Pass.
Significant Achievements and Additions
- Achievement-Friendly Creations: Verified Creators now have the opportunity to make their creations eligible for achievements. This incentivizes content creators and enhances the game’s replayability.
- New Land Vehicle and Quest: Players receive a new land vehicle, the Deimog, as a reward for reaching the 15 million player milestone. The Deimog, built for speed and endurance, is equipped with a rocket launcher for added combat prowess. Complementing this is a new free quest, “The Perfect Recipe,” taking players on a narrative journey within Akila City.
- Quality-of-Life Improvements: Numerous quality-of-life improvements are included in the patch, including an uncapped framerate option for Xbox Series X users, improved message display consistency on Xbox, and resolution of issues related to console commands and achievements.
