When is the Diablo 4 Open Beta?

The Diablo 4 beta is a two-part event. Pre-purchasers get early access, and a general open beta follows. The exact dates are as follows:

• Early Access Open Beta: March 17th to 19th (Pre-purchase only)
• Public Open Beta: March 24th to 26th (Open to all)

1. Request Early Access – How to Sign Up

Directly requesting early access is no longer a method for this Open Beta. Instead, the focus is on pre-purchasing the game for access. Signing up for the open beta will not provide any special early access privilege. Everyone is welcome to participate.

For the open beta, all you need is to have Diablo 4 installed.

2. Access Via Pre-Purchase Code

If you pre-ordered Diablo 4, you’ll likely receive a code to gain access to the early access beta. This is how you use it:

1. Visit diablo.com/beta.
2. Log in to your Battle.net account.
3. Enter your pre-purchase code.
4. Select your platform and region.
5. Click “Redeem” to activate your access.
6. (Console users): A download code will be sent out closer to the beta start date.

What to Expect from Blizzard’s Diablo 4 Open Beta

The open beta period gives players a taste of the game, but the full experience isn’t available. Crucially, expect only limited content. The Prologue and Act 1 will be accessible. Additionally, only the Barbarian class will be playable. More classes may be included, but confirmation is lacking for now.

The maximum character level during the open beta is 25. Players should be aware that the progress made during the open beta is not carried over into the final release. Changes may be significant between the beta version and the official release, rendering your beta character data unusable.

Will Diablo 4 Be Delayed?

While no official delay has been announced, the current business climate at Blizzard, including recent internal conflicts and the termination of the China-based publishing agreement, presents a potential risk. Though the June 6th launch date currently seems secure, any major complications within the studio could, hypothetically, affect the release date.
