The upcoming plans for World of Warcraft have been revealed. The year 2025 is crammed with new content.
During the recent Warcraft Direct stream, Blizzard detailed the future of World of Warcraft. Not only did they announce the long-awaited housing feature after 20 years, but they also revealed the 2025 roadmap. This roadmap outlines the changes coming to The War Within in the upcoming months. Players looking to get ahead of these updates can Buy WOW Gold to enhance their gameplay and prepare for the exciting new content.
What was said?
Strictly speaking, the roadmap includes not only 2025, but also the current year. Patch 11.0.7 will be released in December – one week before Christmas – and will provide new content over the holidays.
But in 2025, things will continue in quick succession:
- Patch 11.1 will be released in winter with the title “Undermined” – There it goes to the goblin metropolis Undermine. This includes new depths, a new dungeon and an 8-boss raid against Gallywix.
- In spring, 11.1.5 will be released and brings the new content “Nightfall”, along with a rework of the Terrible Visions from Battle for Azeroth.
- Patch 11.1.7 will also come in spring with new quests.
- The big patch 11.2 awaits in the summer. A new raid, new dungeon, new challenges in the open world and world events.
- The summer will then end with the official announcement of “Midnight”.
- In the fall of 2025, the “epilogue” of the story will follow, i.e. patches 11.2.5 and 11.2.7. These will probably lead directly to the next expansion.

Is there more to come?
It is not yet clear whether the story of The War Within will come to an end with patch 11.2.7 – but it looks like it will. If Blizzard keeps the rhythm of “Dragonflight”, it would mean that we will probably get to see another addon in the “Remix” variant at the end of 2025, before the Midnight expansion is (hopefully) already in the house at the beginning of 2026. However, Blizzard has not yet made any concrete commitments here, so at the moment only a look into the crystal ball helps.
In any case, the year 2025 will be pretty full for fans of World of Warcraft. Players should expect a lot of content all year round and be well taken care of – whether they like dungeons, depths or raids.
