The next update of World of Warcraft is in the starting blocks. Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt starts in 2 weeks – and the new season shortly after.
In the meantime, even the slowest players have probably played through the story of World of Warcraft The War Within, looking at the depths and dungeons. So it’s time for the first, really big patch – Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt. It finally has a release date and brings a lot of goblin action.
When will patch 11.1 go live?
The official start date for Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt is 26.02.25 – i.e. on Wednesday in two weeks. As usual, the patch will go live on the US realms one day earlier.
When does Season 2 start?
As usual, the new season will not start directly with the launch of the patch, but will be slightly delayed – by exactly one week. The start of Season 2 is therefore on March 5. This should give everyone enough time to look at the new story, familiarize themselves with the changes and then be able to get started with the new endgame content.
What’s in the new patch?
The heart of the patch is the new Lorenhall area. This is the capital of the goblins, which has not yet been seen in the game, but has been mentioned several times in the story. Different cartels rule here and you have to join one of them – but you can change every week.
In addition, there is the raid “The Liberation of Lorenhall”, in which you have to compete against Jastor Gallywix. He has teamed up with Xal’atath – she wants help from him. It’s best to find out for yourself what it’s all about.
Getting around Lorenhall is also a little different. Because instead of using flying mounts, the goblin metropolis uses naturally motorized vehicles in proper style. They can even reach higher speeds than dynamic flying.
Are you already looking forward to the patch? Or do you not like the goblin theme so much? Note that with the launch of patch 11.1, the Plunderstorm event will also come to an end.
