Anub’Rekhan
Anub’Rekhan is the first boss you’ll face in the Arachnid Quarter. He is a large, aggressive spider with a variety of attacks at his disposal. Anub’Rekhan will summon Carrion Grubs that must be killed quickly as they can overwhelm the raid. Additionally, watch out for his Impale, which will stun players, and Locust Swarm, which causes players to flee in terror. To succeed, spread out to avoid the locusts and focus on eliminating the grubs as they hatch.
Grand Widow Faerlina
Grand Widow Faerlina is a formidable spider boss with a deadly combination of physical and magical attacks. She uses abilities like Web Wrap to bind players, Rain of Fire to deal damage to the raid, and Frenzy to increase her attack power. The key to defeating Faerlina is to quickly destroy her Web Wraps before they spawn Frenzied Spawns that will attack the raid. Focus on keeping her health low and avoid the Frenzy stage, as it drastically increases her damage output.
Maexxna
Maexxna is a giant spider with a powerful arsenal of venomous attacks. She uses Poison Spit to deal damage and apply a poison debuff, Web Spray to cover players in webbing, and Necrotic Poison to deal damage over time and reduce healing. The key to this fight is to kite Maexxna around the arena, preventing her from web spraying too many players at once. Focus on burning down her enrage timer before she enters Frenzy mode and make sure to cleanse players affected by Necrotic Poison.
The Plague Quarter
The Plague Quarter is the second wing of Naxxramas. It’s home to numerous undead abominations, each one more disgusting than the last. Be prepared for a challenging and potentially messy encounter.
The Plague Quarter is filled with numerous undead abominations and the stench of decay. Your first major encounter will be with Instructor Razuvious and his Understudy minions. First, eliminate the understudies before focusing on Razuvious, who will use Disrupting Shout to interrupt spellcasting and Unbalancing Strike to leave players vulnerable. Once Razuvious is defeated, you’ll obtain Razuvious’ Whistle, which will come in handy in future encounters.
Noth the Plaguebringer is a skeletal mage who commands a variety of vile attacks. He uses Curse of Years to weaken players with a curse that intensifies over time, Chains of Kel’Thuzad to root players in place, and summons Void Zones that deal damage over time. To defeat Noth, avoid the Void Zones while simultaneously dealing with his other abilities. Healers need to cleanse the Curse of Years and focus on keeping the raid’s health high.
The Construct Quarter
The Construct Quarter, the third wing of Naxxramas, is where the Lich King’s creations are built and tested. This wing is a testament to the power of necromancy, filled with terrifying constructs, each one more powerful than the last. Prepare for a brutal encounter with relentless enemies.
The Construct Quarter is home to Patchwerk, a giant abomination that relies on brute force. Patchwerk lacks complex abilities but is exceptionally strong, requiring healers to keep the raid alive with all the available cooldowns. This fight is all about surviving his onslaught and dealing as much damage as possible.
Next up is Grobbulus, an abomination with a poisonous attack called Mutating Injection, which will afflict players with a disease that deals damage over time. He also releases clouds of poisonous gas. The key to defeating Grobbulus is to focus fire while avoiding his attacks and using Grobbulus’ Venom Sac to cure players affected by Mutating Injection.
The final boss of the Construct Quarter is Thaddius, a fusion of two abominations, Stalagg and Feugen. He has two main abilities: Polarity Shift, which assigns a + or – charge to players, requiring them to spread out to avoid damaging each other, and Magnetic Pull, which pulls all players towards him, again requiring players to stay spread out. The key to defeating Thaddius is to avoid his abilities and focus fire on him. After defeating him, you’ll obtain Thaddius’ Polarity Shift, which can be used to reverse the charges on players who have been affected by Polarity Shift.
Naxxramas is a challenging and rewarding raid experience that will test the limits of your skills and teamwork. With this guide, you will be equipped to face the challenges within and conquer this terrifying necropolis.
