Corvette-class Starships
The Voyagers update introduces Corvette-class starships, which are large, customizable vessels designed to accommodate multiple players. These ships feature furnished interiors and allow players to create a unique sci-fi haven. You can assemble your Corvette with a variety of modules, including habitation, hulls, wings, engines, and more. These modules can be found on various planets in the No Man’s Sky universe. Internal modules can be installed without limitation, but require resources to construct, and they have practical functionality, such as the Living Wall, Nutrition Unit, Refiner Unit, and Mission Radar. Veteran players will be able to unlock them reasonably swiftly, it comes with you everywhere, which totally changes how you play.
Corvette Multiplayer Missions
Enhancing the multiplayer experience, the Voyagers update incorporates Corvette-based mission boards. Players aboard a Corvette can now register as mission crew members and collaboratively tackle objectives within the local system. Successfully completing these missions will earn players rewards and increase their standing. One unique reward is the Mecha-Mouse robotic companion, and the exclusive deadeye cannon module for Corvettes. The expedition is specifically designed to get you to the workshop as quickly as possible and to take you on a journey which unlocks some of the parts you’re going to need to build out your sci-fi fantasy.
Skyborn Exosuit and Jetpack
Players can further customize their in-game avatars with the introduction of the Skyborn Exosuit and Jetpack. This update adds a five-piece Skyborn Exosuit, including armor, gloves, boots, legs, and torso customization options, all of which can be accessed through the Appearance Modifier. The Skyborn Jetpack is also available for customization. These additions allow players to express their personal style and create a unique look for their spacefaring adventures. The Skyborn set provides a sleek and futuristic aesthetic, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the game.
Twitch Drops
To celebrate the release of the Voyagers update, Hello Games is offering a new set of Twitch Drops. By connecting their platform accounts to Twitch and tuning in to participating streams, players can earn various in-game items. These drops include exotic base parts, high-tech starships, fireworks, and appearance modifications. This initiative encourages engagement with the No Man’s Sky community on Twitch, providing viewers with rewards for watching their favorite streamers and expanding their in-game collections. Gameplay and Quality of Life

The update also improves the visibility of the “Switch Base” control. The estimated time to a destination on HUD markers has been improved, providing more accurate information. Buried ancient bones and salvageable scrap are now found on more planets. Notably, the update adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, and Deep Learning Super Sampling, utilizing AI to boost frame rates, reduce latency, and improve image quality. Furthermore, the update includes support for Intel Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) 2. Moment-based order-independent transparency (MBOIT) has been implemented to improve the appearance of translucent surfaces. Localized “hero lighting” for the player character improves their visibility in darker environments. These improvements contribute to a more visually immersive experience.
Bugfixes
Addressing player concerns and improving overall stability, the Voyagers update includes a multitude of bug fixes. One fix resolves an issue where multiple NPC ships could land at the same dock. An issue causing creatures to teleport onto terrain in underground caverns has also been fixed. Addressed also was an issue preventing fishing lines from rendering correctly in multiplayer. This addition provides players with new avenues for progression and customization within this demanding game mode. Also, an issue has been fixed that prevented learning the Creature Pellets recipe. These additions and fixes enhance the gameplay experience and provide players with more options to overcome the challenges of Abandoned Mode. Optimisations
The Voyagers update brings several key optimisations to improve performance across different platforms. Occlusion culling has been implemented on Xbox Series consoles and PS4 and PS5, increasing the frame rate in indoor environments. Implemented also was multithreaded rendering on PC, significantly boosting CPU performance, especially in VR. There has been a significant performance optimisation implemented on mature saves with many active missions. There are also a large number of performance optimisations across multiple game systems. Significantly improved load times when loading saves near large planetary bases, and further reduced the number of shaders used by the game, improving load times.
