What are the best Primary weapons?
Your primary weapon in Warframe is often the most important. You’ll likely use it frequently to kill enemies, so choosing a good one is essential. Here are some of the best primary weapons in the game.
1. Arca Plasmor
The Arca Plasmor is incredibly popular and considered one of the best primaries for mid-level missions. It fires a massive blast of radioactive plasma, disintegrating most enemies and causing confusion with a Radiation proc that makes them attack both allies and foes. With its innate two meters of Punch Through and wide-spread blast, the Arca Plasmor excels at taking out large groups of enemies quickly. You can acquire the Arca Plasmor’s blueprint from the Energy Lab in your clan’s dojo and start using it at Mastery Rank 10.
2. Tigris Prime
If you prefer a more focused shotgun experience, the Tigris Prime is a fantastic alternative to the Arca Plasmor. While the Arca Plasmor is better at clearing rooms, the Tigris Prime specializes in delivering massive damage to a single target. It deals huge amounts of Slash damage and has a high-status chance that can be boosted to 100% with certain mods. Its damage potential makes it perfect for taking down high-level enemies in Sorties or the Index. However, the Tigris Prime can only fire two shots before reloading, making it less ideal for large groups. If you need a few tough enemies eliminated quickly, it’s the perfect tool. The Tigris Prime, like all Prime weapons, is acquired by opening certain Void relics.
For those wanting a more traditional but still powerful weapon, the Soma Prime, a full-auto assault rifle, is a great option. Its high critical chance and critical damage multiplier allow it to deal significant damage quickly, making it effective for clearing out hordes of enemies.
3. Dread
If elegance is your thing, then Dread might be the perfect weapon for you. Dread, the Shadow Stalker’s signature bow, not only looks great, but it also packs a punch. Its incredibly high Slash damage and critical chance make it a formidable weapon. With its innate Punch Through, it’s decent against crowds but truly shines when taking out enemies with a well-placed headshot before they even get close. It’s also a silent killer, making it ideal for stealth missions. Dread’s blueprint can be obtained as a rare drop from killing the Stalker.
What are the best Secondary weapons?
Secondary weapons might not get as much use as primary weapons in most missions, but they are still an essential part of your arsenal. Here are some of our favorite secondary weapons.
1. Eupona
With its extremely high short-range damage and low magazine capacity, the Euphona Prime is often compared to a mini-Tigris Prime. Like the Tigris Prime, it excels at taking out tougher enemies but isn’t ideal for clearing rooms. However, the Euphona Prime’s versatility is enhanced by its two firing modes: one that fires a slug at moderate range and another that fires a short-range blast, making it a great secondary choice.
2. Akstiletto Prime
Another fan favorite is the Akstiletto Prime. This pair of machine pistols has a high fire-rate and impressive status chance, making it ideal for applying status procs to multiple enemies while dealing decent damage. It’s perfect for status-focused builds or compensating for a primary’s low-status chance.
3. Atomos
For those seeking AoE carnage, the Atomos is a heat-based particle cannon that utilizes a fiery laser beam that chains between enemies. This chaining effect combined with a good status chance gives the Atomos incredible crowd control potential. Although it might lack the individual stopping power of the Euphona Prime, it’s excellent for melting hordes of mid-level enemies.
What are the best Melee weapons?
There’s no getting around it; at this stage in the game, the best Warframe weapons for melee are Zaws. Their high level of customization and ability to carry Arcane Enhancements often surpass traditional weapons in almost every category. The only exception is the Galatine Prime, arguably the best Heavy Blade weapon due to its high slash damage, critical chance, and status chance. For most other melee weapon types, however, Zaws are superior.
The Best of the Best?
While this list of the Best Warframe Weapons provides a starting point, remember that Warframe is about choice and customization. Finding a weapon that suits your playstyle is more important than simply choosing a weapon with high stats, especially since you can turn even an average weapon into a powerful tool with the right combination of mods. Nonetheless, we hope our guide gives you a roadmap of the weapons currently dominating the Warframe landscape – at least until the next wave of updates arrives.
