THPS 3+4 Guide: How to Get Rid of the Rude Dudes
After conquering the standard challenges in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, a new level of difficulty awaits: Pro Goals. These are extra objectives that test your skills, with five being added to each stage. One of these is the San Francisco level objective in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, which requires you to deal with some irritating “Rude Dudes” hanging around near the water.

While your first instinct might be to simply skate into them, that won’t work. The solution is a bit more elaborate and involves acquiring some key items. Here’s a guide to help you finish this Pro Goal.
Step 1: Locate the Bird Seed by Scaring Off the Birds
Your first task is to acquire bird seed. Head toward the dock area. Move forward from the starting point until you see a circular bowl surrounded by glass. Inside this area, there will be a woman with a bag on the ground. The bag contains the bird seed that you’re looking for, but it’s currently unavailable.
To make it accessible, you must scare away all the birds perched on the surrounding rails. Enter the bowl and grind along each of the four rails. Successfully grinding all four will cause the birds to take flight, unlocking the bird seed bag. Once the birds are gone, approach the bag to collect it.
Step 2: Take the High Ground Over the Rude Dudes
Now that you have the bird seed, it’s time to confront the Rude Dudes. They can be found on some floating crates near the main dock, bothering the local fishermen. Trying to reach them directly by jumping into the water or skating off the dock won’t work; the game will give you a “take the high ground!” message.
The game provides a hint! there’s a wire above the troublemakers that you can grind. To reach the wire, return to the pier’s start and take the ramp on the left-hand side to the upper level. Looking at the building, you will see the wire spanning the space above the Rude Dudes.
Move back a little to gain speed, and then skate toward the wall. To reach the wire, perform either a Boneless jump or a Wallride into a well-timed jump. It doesn’t matter which technique you use, just make sure you have the bird seed with you when you try!
Step 3: Watch the Chaos Unfold
If you grind the wire successfully, the bird seed will automatically scatter onto the Rude Dudes. This will trigger a cutscene. In the cutscene, a swarm of seagulls descend on the Rude Dudes, causing them to run away in panic. This completes the Pro Goal!
By following these steps, you will be able to complete one of the more unusual Pro Goals in THPS 3+4. It combines environmental interaction with trick execution to create a unique challenge. And if you haven’t got the game yet, you can at iGV and experience it yourself!
