On January 1, 2025, a photo of “Grand Theft Auto VI” (GTA6) and two short videos were shared on the r/GTA6 subreddit, which sparked widespread attention and speculation. Weapons
There are also three special items: the automatic dialer, the tracking jammer, and the USB drive.
The automatic dialer is a tool that might be used to make automated calls for fraudulent purposes.
The tracking jammer is a device that prevents GPS tracking devices from receiving or sending signals, ensuring that the police can’t find you.
The exact function of the USB drive has not been identified yet.
Perhaps it’s because tools like hacking into someone’s computer or car system are all part of Lucia’s identity, which clearly indicates that she is a hacker.
Lock-picking: There are three known lock-picking tools in the game, namely: the lock-picking tool, the anti-theft control system bypassing tool, and the Slim Jim.

Chapter 3: New Features
Pick-up and Discard
Weapons can be picked up and discarded, accompanied by a highly natural connection animation, which is similar to the weapon pick-up mechanism in “Red Dead Redemption 2” (RDR2).
Interactive Features
Apart from weapons, numerous items are also capable of real-time interaction. There will be a gray circle on an item, which turns gray when you reach the interactive spot. The colored circle will be displayed as a button option, such as cash, bottles of wine, etc. Beer cans are all pickable. Moreover, the two known types of collectibles, namely car parts boxes and hats, also have the same interactive prompts. Additionally, you can purchase a ball from a machine at the entrance of the store, and this feature is expected to be available in the final version of the game.
Cover System
Both players and non-player characters (NPCs) will automatically adjust their postures according to the height of the cover. The original cover system has been enhanced to make the use of cover feel more natural and enable stealth and other actions to be more seamless.
Response in Case of Insufficient Firepower
When facing insufficient firepower and without cover, the character will use his arm or weapon to protect his head and dodge from side to side.
Shooting System
Backward Shooting: Players can directly shoot backward from inside the car or in an inward direction.
Long Gun Shooting: Players can also shoot inside the car and fire out of the window, similar to what’s in “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” (SA). Without special vehicles and weapons, players can stand on the vehicle and shoot backward from the vehicle’s hatch.
Underwater Shooting: The underwater shooting feature has been added to support the special gameplay on the seabed.
Stealth System

However, in the tests conducted in 2022, the same mechanism didn’t reappear. It’s suspected that it has been removed or only triggered in situations like store robberies or hostage-taking.
Vehicle Identification: When a vehicle is identified, it will be marked accordingly.
Police Negotiations
Discussion on Sentencing / Withdrawal: During the robbery, the police will not shoot but will keep warning the players. When the players trigger the alarm, Jason might be killed. It’s expected that the situation where the police surrender will continue to exist, and there will be more options available in such circumstances.
Hacker Gameplay
CCTV Surveillance Control: In many scenes, there are CCTV warning signs, indicating that there will be surveillance in numerous locations within the game, mainly for stealth purposes. The heroine’s hacking tools are likely to prove useful.
Surveillance Alarms: Conduct sabotage and interference activities.
Other Interferences: For example, signal tracking jammers are supposed to be used to counter police pursuits, and other hacking devices serve various purposes.
Vehicle Hijacking Gameplay
Vehicle Theft: Judging from the various lock-picking tools, the car-stealing gameplay in this game should be similar to that in “Blood War on Chinatown”, where different levels of vehicles can be unlocked.
