All Split Fiction Side Story Locations
Split Fiction, the co-op adventure game, boasts a wealth of side stories, each offering unique challenges and mini-games. These aren’t just fun diversions; they’re integral to unlocking achievements and adding depth to your gameplay experience. Navigating these side stories often requires problem-solving and skillful parkour, but the rewards are well worth the effort. This guide provides a detailed breakdown of each location, helping you pinpoint and access these hidden gems.
The Legend of the Sandfish
This side story is unlocked through a direct portal, accessible in the “Play Me Techno” chapter. No special maneuvers or complex steps are needed; the portal is readily available for immediate entry.
Farmlife
Following the completion of the “Streets of Neon” chapter, this side story is readily available. Find the portal nestled amidst the hay bales and produce near the location’s entrance.
Mountain Hike
Achieving this side story in the “Big City Life” chapter involves a clever sequence of actions. Mio must enter an outhouse, which Zoe then lifts and propels onto a rooftop platform to reach the portal. The subsequent ladder-kicking final step completes the journey to the mountain’s embrace.
Train Heist
Unlocking this side story during the “Lord Evergreen” chapter requires transformation and teamwork. Mio transforms into a fish to navigate a submerged section, while Zoe soars in her fairy form. They must then work together to reach a grapple point on a wall, after which the path guides them to the Train Heist portal.
Gameshow
Within the “Walking Stick of Doom” chapter, navigate the forested path that branches off the main route. The gameshow portal resides on the left, marked by a large stage. Players must navigate a brief parkour section to arrive at their destination.
Collapsing Star
In the “Halls of Ice” chapter, the path to this side story lies behind a smashable window. Mio must launch a projectile using her fish form, while Zoe utilizes her ent form to break the window. A grapple point awaits, providing a shortcut into the parkour section leading to the Collapsing Star portal.
Kites
The portal for this side story in the “Toxic Tumblers” chapter is remarkably straightforward. Located at the chapter’s very beginning, just at the end of the initial tunnel, it’s impossible to miss.
Moon Market
After completing the “Test Chamber,” two paths present themselves. Choose the left path and engage in a symbol-shooting challenge. Hitting the red and blue targets opens the path. After navigating a section of moving pistons, additional symbol-shooting is required to reach the Moon Market portal.
Notebook
Starting the “Soaring Desperados” chapter, players will receive jetpacks. The path leads to a large, blade-laden cable. Climb this to a platform with the small white cottage. The platform’s glowing aura marks it easily, leading to the portal.
Slopes of War
The key to reaching this side story in the “Water Temple” chapter is a lever system. Players must utilize a platform with two levers to switch sides. One player takes the initial lever, while the other navigates the grotto section to complete the journey to the Slopes of War portal.
Space Escape
In the “Craft Temple” chapter, an initial cave entrance must be exited and the path to the right followed. At the far end of this area is the Space Escape portal. Dragon riding is essential, with precise timing and teamwork required for the platforming sections.
Birthday Cake
Near the beginning of the “Treasure Temple” chapter, locate the floating violet-glowing island with the rainbow overhead. This island’s distinct appearance makes it easy to identify, and dragon travel will quickly take you to the Birthday Cake side story portal.
