Spectre Divide Patch: Moves, Graphics, Matches

Spectre Divide Releases New Patch Updates And Changes

Movement Changes

Spectre Divide’s latest patch addresses player feedback regarding movement. A noticeable improvement is the increase in forward movement speed. This enhancement affects all forward movement actions, including walking, crouching, running, and aiming down sights (ADS). Crucially, strafing speed remains unchanged. The update also optimizes melee movement to maintain the previous feel.

Graphics And Visual Changes

Players experiencing frame rate issues have been addressed with a significant GPU performance optimization. This measure aims to reduce frame drops during gameplay. Furthermore, visual effects for several Sponsor Abilities have been optimized, targeting specific abilities to minimize performance hiccups caused by effects such as smokes, grenades, and other in-game phenomena. The Sponsor Abilities affected include:

  • Pinnacle: Splinter Grenade
  • Morrgen: Meltdown, Hidden Grasp
  • Bloom: Twin Mend, Swarm Grenade
  • Ryker: Wave Scan, Hull Mine
  • Vector: Dual Amp
  • Ghostlink: Distortion Field
  • Muu: Hyper Dome, Patches
  • Umbra: Glare Burst

The game’s color grading has been adjusted for a more vibrant visual aesthetic, enhancing the clarity and distinction between objects and players within the game’s maps.

New Casual Match and Map Changes

Spectre Divide introduces a new Casual match mode focused on a “Boosted Buy” economy. This mode provides players with free heavy armor, complete equipment, and funds per round. This is intended to remove the stress of choosing the appropriate weaponry or equipment, creating a more relaxed gameplay experience, particularly for newcomers. Feedback is welcomed to further refine this mode. In addition to the new mode, adjustments have been made to team spawn points to create a more streamlined and convenient beginning for each round.

Ranked Changes and Progression Updates

Spectre Divide’s Ranked progression has been refined to simplify the path to Champion rank. These modifications aim to provide a more enjoyable Ranked experience. The update also addresses bot teammates commonly found in Gold Ranked matches. A key improvement is the revamped Active Progression bar in the menu, clearly displaying active Endorsement progress and the required matches to complete the Endorsement and unlock the relevant Sponsor.

Quality of Life Updates

Several quality-of-life improvements have been incorporated into the latest patch. Ultra-Wide support has been added. This mode accommodates monitors with 16:9 and 16:8 aspect ratios, with selectable display options. A new anti-aliasing setting allows players to adjust or disable this visual effect. The visual height of characters has been adjusted for improved precision in headshots across a range of perspectives. A noteworthy feature is the implementation of audio stingers for Ace and clutch wins to further enhance the emotional impact of successful rounds. Enhanced anti-cheat measures and new server locations (Seattle, Johannesburg) are in place to address connectivity issues. Bug fixes address issues impacting Team text and voice communications, server stability, and Sponsor Ability functionality. Finally, overall visual and gameplay quality has been significantly improved with the new patch.
