Location

The Garden of Kharid is situated in the Kharidian Desert, close to the Kharidian Mine. For rapid access, you can use a teleport acquired by pickpocketing “sand seeds” (garden inhabitants). Alternatively, you can acquire a teleport via the Grand Exchange or the Garden’s reward shop. Other methods include utilizing the Dungeoneering cape, Wicked Hood, Ring of Duelling, or Lodestone.

  • Quick Access: Pickpocket Sand Seeds
  • Alternative Access: Grand Exchange/Garden Shop, Dungeoneering cape, Wicked Hood, Ring of Duelling, Lodestone

Requirements

To fully experience the Garden, you’ll need a minimum Farming level of 50. If you aim to utilize the pickpocketing aspect, you need either a Thieving level of 42 or 83. Higher levels will generally yield better rewards and experience. Consider your Thieving skill when choosing an entry method.

Getting Started

Upon arrival, speak with Polletix. She will explain the Crux Eqal favour system and introduce the “Herb of the Day.” To accumulate favour points, begin by planting the designated herb. Planting the Herb of the Day yields more points than other herbs. You can also check the Herb of the Day without physically being in the Garden by using the contact NPC spell from the lunar spellbook.

  • Key to Favor: Planting the Herb of the Day
  • Bonus Points: Planting higher-level herbs
  • Remote Check: Lunar Spellbook contact NPC spell

Favour points are awarded based on the herb planted. While base points vary between herbs (e.g., Toadflax: 25 points, Torstol: 45 points), unlocking permanent rewards from the Garden increases your point gain per herb run. This includes being able to plant multiple seeds at a time, for maximum efficiency. Points are awarded upon harvesting, not planting.

Rewards

The Garden offers several valuable permanent upgrades, categorized by favour point cost and gameplay impact.

Plant Power

This upgrade grants the ability to plant more seeds simultaneously. It comes in four tiers: 2 seeds, 4 seeds, 7 seeds, and 10 seeds. Tier 3 (7500 favour points) offers a compelling balance of efficiency and cost; the highest tier (25000 favour points) provides minimal additional benefit, better suited for completionists.

Bountiful Harvest

Enhances the yield from certain farming activities, such as bushes, grapevines, cacti, and fruit trees. This is potentially beneficial for completionists, or those heavily focused on those specific farming activities, but otherwise, less vital.

Speedy Growth

Permanently skips the initial growth stage of herb patches. This significantly speeds up the herb-gathering process. It costs 25000 favour points, and is most useful to those who tend to perform numerous herb runs, as the initial increase in harvest pace is greater than the increase in number of herb plots that can be planted. Consider your herb-running frequency when deciding on this upgrade.

Tailor your reward unlock order to optimize your in-game experience based on your playstyle and farming frequency. Prioritize based on your game-play needs and how much you plan on maximizing your farming efforts within the Garden.
