Ship of Ghouls
The necromorphs in Dead Space are more detailed than ever before, literally dripping with slime and entrails. Each enemy has several layers of flesh and bone to blast away, giving you a clear visual indication of how close you are to lopping off a limb. The combat remains focused on dismemberment, rewarding precise aiming and strategic use of the Plasma Cutter, Line Gun, and Force Gun. The hyper-mobile Twitcher types are more frenetic, putting your aiming ability and Stasis reserves to the test.

An Affair to Dismember
Isaac’s story has been expanded with new details about his relationship with Nicole and his connection to Unitology. The added context makes the shocking final twist feel more plausible. Isaac is humanized even further by his ability to speak, but his lines are delivered sparingly. The moment-to-moment status is indicated by his heavy breathing and hurried heartbeat heard in moments of eerie silence.
