What are “Adventure Effects,” and how do they work?

Adventure Effects are special Pokemon attacks that can be activated outside of battle. These effects alter the gameplay experience in unique ways, impacting how you interact with the Pokemon Go world.

To activate an Adventure Effect, you need a Pokemon that knows the attack. Currently, only Origin Form Dialga and Origin Form Palkia possess these effects. They cannot be taught to other Pokemon.

Here’s how to activate an Adventure Effect:

• Open the Main Menu and tap on the Pokemon storage.
• Tap on the Pokemon and view their details.
• Scroll down to the Adventure Effects section, located below the Fast and Charged Attacks.
• Press the Use button next to the “Adventure Effect.”
• Choose the amount of Stardust and Candy you want to use.
• Tap the “Use” button to confirm the duration, then tap “Yes” to activate the effect.

Only one Adventure Effect can be active at a time, but they can stack with other limited-time Pokemon bonuses, such as Mega Evolution or Primal Reversion. Once activated, you’ll see an animation and a timer on the Map View. The interaction radius circle may also feature a special effect indicating the Adventure Effect is active.

Roar of Time Adventure Effect bonus and cost

The Roar of Time Adventure Effect is exclusive to Origin Form Dialga. This effect pauses the timers for Incense, Lucky Eggs, Star Piece, and the Daily Adventure Incense.

In battles, Roar of Time increases Power to 150 during Trainer Battles and 160 during Gyms and Raids.

Spacial Rend Adventure Effect bonus and cost

The Spacial Rend Adventure Effect is unique to Origin Form Palkia. It increases the distance at which you encounter wild Pokemon and adds a cool effect to the Map.

Spacial Rend is a more efficient Adventure Effect in terms of resource cost compared to Roar of Time. However, you’ll need to decide which effect best suits your gameplay style and resource availability.
