Lords of the Fallen: How to Get the Pieta Sword
The Pieta Sword
The Pieta Sword, a powerful early-game weapon, initially belonged to the game’s Pieta boss. Primarily dealing radiant damage, it shines in the Umbral realm’s early battles. While you’ll eventually upgrade to better weapons, the Pieta Sword’s high damage output and versatility make it invaluable in the game’s initial stages. To obtain it, you’ll need to complete several requirements, including defeating Pieta and fulfilling specific conditions set by the game.
The Pieta Sword Attributes
Stat Requirement
Surprisingly, the Pieta Sword has a relatively low Radiance requirement (25). This means you can equip and use it earlier in the game compared to many other powerful weapons, making it an excellent option for players early in their adventure.
Base Stats
The Pieta Sword’s base stats grow significantly as you upgrade it:
- Level 0-5: Gradually increases Holy damage from 69 to 163.
Weapon Damage Type
The Pieta Sword strikes a balance between damage types, allowing for flexibility in combat encounters:
- Holy (35%): Effective against undead enemies and creatures vulnerable to radiant damage.
- Physical (28%): Provides decent damage against other enemy types, offering versatility.
- Fire (10%): A small edge against enemies susceptible to fire damage.
- Wither (10%): Adds sustained damage over time to your attacks.
Other Attributes
While the Pieta Sword is a powerful weapon, it does have some drawbacks.
- Stability (18%): A low stability rating makes it susceptible to being dislodged during combat, requiring careful handling.
Abilities
The Pieta Sword has the Smite ability.
- Smite: A Holy damage burst that inflicts damage and vulnerability effects on your opponent.
Weaknesses
Despite its strengths, the Pieta Sword isn’t without its limitations:
- Lower Base Damage: Compared to other short swords, it has a lower base damage, making it less effective against some enemies resistant to holy damage. Upgrade it to enhance its capabilities.
- Short Range: As a short sword, it’s best used in close-quarters combat. This limits its use in longer-range battles and makes the user vulnerable.
