What is a loot filter?
A loot filter is a tool that changes how you see loot on your screen in Path of Exile 2. The tool highlights important loot and ensures that less important loot is hidden or displayed smaller. Loot filters are by far the most important tool because they tell beginners and professionals alike which items are really important. We’ll explain how to activate it.
Loot filters on PC, PS5 and Xbox
How do you activate the loot filter?
There are several ways to activate a loot filter on your account. We’ll show you the simplest one that works for all platforms at the same time.
- The first thing you have to do is go to the Path of Exile (pathofexile.com) website. We have directly linked you to the right place to go.
- You now have to log in there.
- Now select one of the loot filters.
- Neversink’s loot filters are usually the most popular. They differ in how many items they hide.
- The filter “0-toosoft” hides almost nothing, while the filter “6-uberplu” only shows the most important and valuable items.
- We recommend “NeverSink-2semistr-PoE2” because it works well both at the beginning and later in the game.
- Once you have chosen a filter and clicked on it, you can see exactly what is in the filter. However, you don’t have to pay attention to this, so click on the green “Subscribe” button in the top right.
- Now you’ve done it and the filter is attributed to your account.
- Log in to your account on the desired platform and enter the game.
- Opens → game settings → item filter
- There you should see in light blue which filters are attributed to your account.
How does this already work on PS5 and Xbox?
Compatibility on PS5 and Xbox will not be fully established until the next update. However, you can already use a filter on the console via a temporary solution.
To do this, you’ll need access to Path of Exile 2 on both PC and console. Follow the step-by-step instructions from above on your PC and stay logged in. Then log in to the same account and character on your console without logging out on PC.
Now the loot filter should also work on your PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Once the new update for Path of Exile 2 has been released, the temporary solution will no longer be necessary.
