Concerning items, 1000 OSRS gold are required, unless you have already assisted Femi or finished Tree Gnome Village. Consider the use of teleportation methods like the Nightmare Zone teleport or charter ships, depending on your preferred travel route.
The Grand Tree OSRS Step-by-Step Guide
This quest unfolds as a series of interactions, culminating in your quest to stop a potential catastrophe.
Speak to Hazelmere
Begin by conversing with King Narnode Shareen on the ground floor of the Grand Tree. Your conversation will lead you underground, initiating the quest’s core objective. Armed with a translation book and a bark sample, journey to Hazelmere, a figure residing on a small island east of Yanille. Bear in mind that you’ll encounter some jungle spiders (level 44) along your path. Several routes exist to reach Hazelmere, utilizing teleports like Watchtower, Castle Wars, or a charter ship to Port Khazard.
The Next Investigation
Upon encountering Hazelmere, communication proves challenging. Sign language will be your method of conveying messages. You’ll translate a message about Daconia rocks, a potential threat to the Grand Tree. Subsequently, return to the King, relaying the translated message. This will reveal the culprit using the king’s seal to get Daconia rocks. This leads you to seek guidance from Glough, located in a treehouse south of the Grand Tree.
The Ship Yard
Glough will guide you to locate a captive who holds information about the Daconia rocks. Travel to the Grand Tree’s top floor. The prisoner, Charlie, points you towards the Ship Yard. He provides a password – “Ka-Lu-Min”. Once inside, locate the foreman and disclose that Glough sent you. Answer questions about Glough’s life, revealing his intention to use lumber from the tree to construct battleships. A lumber order will be given, prompting a trip to Port Khazard to deliver it to the king. This part may require 720 coins for the charter ship.
Speaking to Anita
Return to the king, only to find doubt lingering. Navigate to Anita, Glough’s girlfriend, located in a house northwest of the Grand Tree. Obtain a key from her and use it to access a chest in Glough’s house. Find notes outlining his plans to usurp Gielinor, and present them to the king. Despite the evidence, the king dismisses your concerns as he did not believe the twig message. The message is actually TUZO which is OPEN in the translation book.
The Grand Tree OSRS Black Demon
Glough, now on the scene, reveals his ambitions. A confrontation with a level 172 Black Demon ensues. Strategic combat is crucial. Engage in melee or ranged combat. If you choose the latter, ensure a safe position and utilize magic or ranged attacks. The fight requires a rapid and skillful approach within 8-9 minutes, before the demon vanishes, necessitating a restart if the fight is not completed in time. After defeating the demon, navigate the passage to King Narnode. Speak to him about Glough’s actions, and retrieve the final Daconia rock from the tree roots. This final interaction concludes the quest.
