Valorant Tips from iGV

KRU Esports, founded by renowned footballer Sergio Agüero, is an Argentinian organization dedicated to growing esports in the region. The team’s journey began with a roster composed of akz, Leobas, Klaus, Mazino, and NagZ, guided by coaches Onur and BeTony. Their debut in the Valorant Champions Tour South America Qualifier saw them secure the second seed, marking their arrival on the esports scene.

KRU continued to impress, securing second place in the First Latin America South Challengers. However, subsequent tournaments proved challenging, leading to a roster shakeup. Leobas and akz departed, replaced by delz1k and bnjssj. This change ignited a winning streak, culminating in a triumphant victory in the Stage Two Challengers, where they remained undefeated.

The team’s growth continued as they moved to the continental stage. bnjssj was benched, and keznit stepped in. Since then, KRU has experimented with roster changes, constantly striving for the optimal combination.

KRU Esports’ Performance

KRU Esports has earned the moniker “Valorant God Slayers” for their remarkable upsets. In their third Valorant Champions appearance, they were grouped with Team Liquid and Sentinels, two formidable teams. Against all odds, KRU triumphed over both, achieving a monumental upset in the history of professional Valorant.

Their dominance extended to defeating Fnatic, a well-established team, further solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with. While they ultimately fell to Gambit Esports, the defending champions, KRU etched their name into the international Valorant scene.

KRU Esports Current Team

Through a series of roster changes, KRU’s lineup has evolved significantly since its inception. Today, the team boasts one of the most feared rosters in the Valorant circuit, led by captain Klaus, alongside NagZ, xand, DaveeyS, Melser, and axeddy. Leazo serves as Head Coach, and ddx as the official Analyst.

Klaus

Nicolas “Klaus” Ferrari takes on the roles of In-Game Leader (IGL) and initiator for his team. While he initially relied on Killjoy for defensive strategies, Klaus has adapted to the meta, favoring Sova and Fade. As one of the youngest players in professional Valorant, Klaus demonstrates exceptional composure and strategic thinking, providing his team with a calm and collected presence.

NagZ

Lopez “NagZ” Miranda, a Chilean player previously with Estral Esports, has established himself as KRU’s Duelist/Entry Fragger. His primary agents are Chamber and Jett. NagZ’s sharp intellect and exceptional gun skills have earned him recognition throughout the community. His fearless approach to duels and his unwavering commitment to giving his team an edge make him a valuable asset.

Melser

Marco “Melser” Amaro, another Chilean player, recently joined KRU, replacing delz1k as the Controller. Melser’s expertise lies in Omen and Astra, his most frequently chosen agents. His extensive experience with teams like Leviatan and Australs makes him a valuable addition to the team.

xand

Alexandre “xand” Zizi, originally from Brazil, has been a Valorant competitor since 2020, playing for teams like B4 Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas. He currently fills the Duelist/Entry-Fragger role for KRU Esports, specializing in Jett. Although xand has been absent from the international stage since his departure from Ninjas in Pyjamas, his return to the professional Valorant circuit and his leadership within KRU are eagerly anticipated.

DaveeyS

Santiago “DaveeyS” Ruiz, born in Colombia, has played for teams such as Infinity, LAZER, and E-Xolos LAZER. DaveeyS joined KRU in 2023, part of the team’s strategic restructuring following a period of less than optimal performance.

axeddy

Carlos “axeddy” Galvoa, a Brazilian player with prior experience in teams such as Jaguares Esports, Galaxy Carrots, and ODDIK, joined KRU in 2022. He functions as the second Controller for the team, focusing on site control and manipulation during entry rounds. While axeddy’s experience lies primarily in C-tier and B-tier tournaments, KRU’s first-division roster provides him with a platform to showcase his abilities on a larger stage.

Final Thoughts

Despite its relatively short existence, KRU Esports has achieved remarkable milestones. Their ascent as a young team, their impressive performances, and their unwavering commitment to excellence have positioned them as one of the best in the world. As they continue to evolve and strive for greatness, KRU Esports remains a team to watch, promising exciting moments and captivating victories in the world of Valorant.
