How to Acquire Khora’s Blueprint and Components
Khora, a powerful and versatile Warframe, is notorious for the arduous grind required to acquire her parts. Her components are obtained through Sanctuary Onslaught, an endless mission that challenges you to progress through rounds of increasingly difficult enemies.
Sanctuary Onslaught operates on an AABC rotation system, with each letter representing a reward pool. The first two rounds grant rewards from pool A, followed by pool B on the third round, and pool C on the fourth. This pattern repeats, cycling back to pool A for the fifth round.
Khora’s components are scattered across these reward pools, each with a relatively low drop chance. Her main blueprint and Systems blueprint have an 11.28% drop chance from pool C. The Chassis blueprint has an 8.33% drop chance from pool A, and the Neuroptics blueprint has a 9.09% drop chance from pool B.
Due to the low drop rates and potential for lengthy grinding, many players opt to acquire Khora using Platinum (325). Farming Relics and selling their parts for Platinum often proves to be a more efficient method for acquiring Khora from the Market.
Khora’s Special Passive Ability
Khora’s Main Abilities
Passive Ability: Khora’s passive ability is her unique companion, Venari, a Smeeta Kavat. Venari automatically spawns at the start of each mission and fights alongside Khora, granting her increased movement speed. If Venari falls in battle, she will respawn near Khora within a minute. Khora can also manually respawn Venari using her third ability.
- Ability 1 – Whipclaw: Khora unleashes a powerful whiplash attack in the direction of her reticle, creating a small area of explosion that deals Impact, Puncture, and Slash damage. Whipclaw’s range is affected by Ability Range, and its damage can be further enhanced using Ability Strength. Whipclaw synergizes particularly well with Khora’s fourth ability, significantly boosting her damage output.
- Ability 2 – Ensnare: Khora uses her whip to ensnare a nearby enemy, trapping them and any other enemies that get close. The duration of the ensnarement is determined by Ability Duration, and the whip’s range is influenced by Ability Range. Enemies caught in Ensnare receive double damage from Venari and Whipclaw, making this a potent crowd control and damage amplification tool.
- Ability 3 – Venari: This ability grants Khora control over Venari’s actions. She can command Venari to attack, protect, or heal. This ability can also be used to manually respawn Venari if she is defeated and her automatic respawn timer has not yet elapsed.
Strangledome and Khora Farming Warframe Build
Ability 4 – Strangledome: Khora’s ultimate ability, Strangledome, is a game-changer for crowd control, particularly in Survival missions. This ability creates a dome of chains that trap any enemies attempting to enter. The trapped enemies become suspended and flung around within the dome. Ability Duration increases the dome’s duration, and Ability Range expands the dome’s radius, allowing Khora to ensnare a larger area.
Strangledome and Whipclaw have a powerful synergy. When numerous enemies are trapped within the dome, Khora can unleash Whipclaw to strike them all at once, dealing substantial damage. While Strangledome provides excellent crowd control, it is important to note that it does not grant immunity from enemies firing from outside the dome.
Pilfering Strangledome, the augment for Strangledome, further enhances its effectiveness in Survival missions. Similar to Hydroid’s Pilfering Swarm, this augment increases the chance of enemies trapped within the dome dropping additional loot by 65%. This makes Khora a formidable choice for farming builds, particularly in Survival missions where players aim for maximum loot drops. A Range and Duration-focused build, with secondary emphasis on Efficiency and minimal investment in Strength, is optimal for maximizing the benefits of Pilfering Strangledome.
Other Warframe Khora Build
Beyond farming builds, Khora can also be built for a critical strike (Crit) playstyle. Crit builds focus on maximizing critical hits, often utilizing a charged melee combo counter to enhance damage. The Accumulating Whipclaw augment is particularly valuable for Crit builds, as it grants stacking damage bonuses when using Whipclaw.
For general-purpose missions across the Star Chart, a build that prioritizes Ability Range and Duration is generally recommended. Here is a suggested build for a well-rounded Khora:
- Physique: Slotted according to the default Aura polarity, Physique provides additional health.
- Vitality: This mod significantly increases Khora’s main Health pool, providing greater survivability.
- Constitution + Primed Continuity: These mods enhance Ability Duration, extending the effectiveness of Khora’s abilities.
- Stretch + Augur Reach: These mods increase Ability Range, expanding the area of influence for Khora’s abilities.
- Overextended: This mod further increases Ability Range, but at the cost of Ability Strength.
- Streamline: This mod improves Ability Efficiency, allowing Khora to cast her abilities more frequently.
- Intensify: This mod increases Ability Strength, amplifying the damage and effects of Khora’s abilities.
Pilfering Strangledome can be substituted for Intensify when focusing on maximizing loot drops in Survival missions.
Endnote
Khora is a highly valuable Warframe for Survival missions, particularly when the team is strategically positioned in a single location. Her unique passive ability and her distinct playstyle, centered around her whip and Strangledome, make her a standout choice for crowd control and sustained damage. While the acquisition of her components can be challenging, the rewards for mastering Khora are significant. By following this build guide, you can equip Khora with the necessary tools to dominate in any mission.
Good luck, Tenno!
