The Feast of the Departed Warriors is a combat-focused event in Genshin Impact that features three challenging world bosses: the Electro Manifestation, the Aeonblight Drake, and the Coral Defenders. These bosses are not your usual overworld bosses – they are souped-up versions that offer increased difficulty and rewards. In this guide, we will provide an overview of the event and share tips for each boss encounter to help you conquer the Feast of the Departed Warriors.

Event Overview

To participate in the Feast of the Departed Warriors event, you must be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the Archon Quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” The event takes place in the Falcon Coast domain, which can be directly teleported to. Inside the domain, you will have the option to choose from the available bosses, their difficulty level, and adjust their stats.

At the time of writing, two bosses are available: Descaling: Thundering Grief and Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel. On the right side of the screen, you will see your previous record, best time, and the rewards you can earn. Make sure to select the appropriate difficulty level and adjust the enemy’s stats to your preference.

You can also choose three buffs to aid you in the boss battles. Once you have prepared your party and entered combat, defeat the boss to claim your rewards. It’s worth noting that you can also invite a friend to join you in the battles for additional support.

Descaling: Thundering Grief

The Descaling: Thundering Grief boss encounter features the Crackling Thunder Manifestation. This boss has variations of its usual attacks, making it more challenging to defeat. It also has the ability to enrage if certain conditions are met.

Here are some tips to help you overcome Descaling: Thundering Grief:

  • Focus on dodging its attacks to minimize damage taken. You can choose to enrage the boss to avoid dealing with specific moves.
  • Consider providing elemental resistance to Pyro, Cryo, or Dendro before the battle. However, using a Geo or Anemo DPS character can also be effective.
  • Avoid using Electro characters as the boss is immune to Electro damage.
  • Homing attacks, such as Tighnari’s fully charged aimed shots, work well against the boss. Ganyu is also a potent DPS option.

Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel

Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel features the Aeonblight Drake as the boss. This boss has a shield and elemental resistance when it takes to the air, making it important to shoot its exposed cores to make it vulnerable.

Here are some tips to help you defeat Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel:

  • Bring an archer character to snipe the exposed cores, destroy the shield, and make the Aeonblight Drake vulnerable. Characters like Tartaglia (Childe) and Ganyu are excellent choices.
  • Consider bringing multiple characters with different elements to exploit the boss’s elemental weaknesses.
  • Avoid getting caught in the boss’s attacks while aiming at the cores. Archers and precise aiming are essential.

Shadow: Twined Dragonheirs

Shadow: Twined Dragonheirs involves battling the Coral Defenders. These bosses must be defeated consecutively to prevent them from reviving. One of the Coral Defenders will also be enraged, adding an extra challenge to the encounter.

Here are some additional tips for defeating Shadow: Twined Dragonheirs:

  • Consider using Geo or Anemo characters as an alternative to Pyro, Hydro, and Dendro characters to exploit the boss’s elemental resistances.
  • Geo or Claymore users are recommended to destroy the Geo pillar that spawns during the battle, as it exposes the bosses to damage.
  • Keep the bosses’ HP near each other to prevent one from reviving and prolonging the battle.
  • Avoid relying too heavily on character Bursts, as the Cleansing Shower mechanic can deplete Energy.

Three-Realm Banquet of Stillness

The Three-Realm Banquet of Stillness is the final encounter in the Feast of the Departed Warriors event. It requires you to set eight characters that you can switch among during the battle. After defeating one boss, you can choose to change your party or continue with the remaining characters.

Here are some tips for the Three-Realm Banquet of Stillness:

  • Make sure to bring characters who can chase down the Crackling Thunder Manifestation, shoot the weak points of the Aeonblight Drake, and defeat both Bathysmal Vishaps consecutively.
  • You can use food items and revive characters mid-combat. However, there is a cooldown period between resurrections.
  • Consider asking for help through co-op to make the battles more manageable and earn all the rewards.
  • Remember that you don’t necessarily need meta characters – focus on having a well-built and capable party.
