Build the Perfect Garuda in Warframe!

How to get Garuda’s components and Warframe blueprints

To acquire Garuda, you’ll need to complete the **Vox Solaris** quest. This quest will reward you with the main Garuda blueprint. You can also purchase the blueprint from Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 credits.

Garuda’s component blueprints are found by doing **Bounties in Orb Vallis**. Each Bounty has a chance to drop a specific component blueprint. Garuda’s Chassis blueprint has the highest drop chance, while her Systems blueprint has the lowest, with only an 8% difference between them.

Warframe Garuda Passive Ability and Special Weapon Build

Garuda’s passive ability grants her damage buffs based on her missing health. For every percentage of health lost, she gains a proportionate damage bonus, as long as she has at least 2 HP remaining. This buff applies to both her abilities and weapons.

Garuda has a unique special weapon, **Garuda’s Talons**. These are exclusive to her and function as her melee weapon when no other melee weapon is equipped. Garuda’s Talons have their own customization and color scheme options.

Warframe Garuda Ability Build Guide

Dread Mirror

Dread Mirror allows Garuda to steal life force from enemies and create a shield. She pounces on a target, staggers enemies around her, and instantly kills enemies with under 40% health. She then creates a shield (Dread Mirror) in front of her to absorb damage. You can charge and turn this shield into an explosive shot.

If an enemy dies instantly, Garuda absorbs additional health. This absorption is not affected by mods. While Dread Mirror is active, you can hold the ability button to drain energy each second and buff the damage absorbed. Releasing the button unleashes an explosive shot with a 100% status chance, aimed at your target. The explosion radius is affected by Ability Range.

Blood Altar

Blood Altar lets Garuda impale enemies with her talons, suspending them in the air, and turning them into siphons (up to three). Standing within a visible radius of 8 meters around the impaled enemy buffs health for Garuda, companions, and teammates. The health gain per second is affected by Ability Strength, the suspension duration by Ability Duration, and the radius by Ability Range.

You can manually release the impaled enemy by pressing the ability key again while aiming at them.

Bloodletting

Bloodletting allows Garuda to restore energy by sacrificing health. She damages herself, losing approximately half of her health and restoring about 35% of her maximum energy. The energy gain is influenced by Ability Efficiency mods. This ability has no energy cost to cast.

Even if Garuda is already low on health, the energy gain still follows the formula: Energy restored = Base Energy gained ÷ (2 – Ability Efficiency). Note that mods like Hunter Adrenaline are not affected by this exchange.

How to Mod and Build Garuda effectively

Garuda is a versatile Warframe to build. She doesn’t fit a specific niche and struggles in missions like Spy, but she excels as a DPS machine and tank. With great survivability and practically infinite energy, she scales well with enemy levels.

A common build for Garuda includes:

  • Intensify – for increased Ability Strength
  • Flow – for a larger energy pool
  • Stretch – for increased Ability Range, which benefits most of Garuda’s abilities
  • Continuity – for extended Ability Duration to keep ability effects active
  • Vitality – for extra health
  • Healing Flame – heals you for each enemy hit with Fire Blast
  • Rolling Guard – health buffs when rolling
  • Rapid Resilience – for lower status duration

Garuda also has an interesting Augment Mod called **Bleeding Talons**. This mod creates a 7-meter area around you where your Talons weapon gains double the Combo Count Chance when hitting targets affected by the Bleed Status effect.

Garuda’s fourth ability adds Slash procs, making her incredibly effective against Grineer, regardless of their level. This synergy works well with Rhino’s Roar, allowing you to practically ignore enemy armor.

Endnote

Garuda is often overlooked in the meta, but she can be formidable with the right mods, particularly by utilizing her passive ability which amplifies her damage as her health decreases. With 2 health remaining, she deals almost double the damage. Mods like Quick Thinking can also be advantageous for Garuda, allowing her to use her energy pool to replenish health.

Garuda has an active playstyle with endless energy potential, requiring you to consistently cycle your energy and health while dealing damage. We hope our Garuda guide has helped you understand this Warframe and the best build for her in high-level missions.
