What are Fresh Start Worlds in New World?

Fresh Start Worlds (FSWs) in New World are essentially a clean slate for players. They offer a chance to start a brand new character and experience the game without any of the existing progress, economy, or social structures of the original servers (known as Legacies). This means that everything, from the in-game economy to territory ownership, is up for grabs, creating a level playing field for all players.

How to Join Fresh Start Servers in New World?

Joining FSWs is straightforward, but there are some key restrictions to maintain the “fresh start” aspect:

• Character Creation Only: You can’t use transfer tickets to move existing characters to FSWs. Only newly created characters can access these servers.
• Limited Account Influence: This rule ensures that experienced players with powerful gear or extensive progress on Legacy servers don’t gain an immediate advantage in the FSWs.

To start your journey on a Fresh Start World, you’ll need to create a new character. AGS has provided an extra character slot for this purpose. While transfers out of FSWs are not currently available, AGS has indicated that they may be implemented in the future. It’s worth noting that players banned from Legacy servers will still be allowed on FSWs.

AGS has confirmed that FSWs will not be merged with Legacy servers, preserving their unique identity and progress. However, the possibility of merging two FSWs in the future remains unconfirmed.

What Should You Do in Fresh Start Worlds?

With everyone starting from scratch, the most important goal in FSWs is to power level. Reaching high levels unlocks most of New World’s content, from resource gathering areas to challenging expeditions.
