What do I need to know about the Earthen?
The Earthen are a titan-forged race of living stone, imbued with the essence of Azeroth’s World Soul! These ancient inhabitants have only just been freed from the edicts to which they were bound. With boundless curiosity, the Earthen now set out to explore the world as allies of the Alliance and Horde.
Since the ID change on September 4, 2024, you can unlock the Earthen as a playable Allied Race from WoW: The War Within, equally for both factions of the MMORPG. In the following, you will learn how to do this in detail and how to get the associated traditional armor of the dwarven-like race.
How to unlock the Earthen
You must meet the following requirements for the Earthen:
- Complete the WoW: The War Within launch campaign.
- Complete all contracts that have an icon for “Allied Race: Earthene” in the quest text (just above the quest reward).
The meta-achievement “Allied Races: The Earthen” offers you a common thread with its four sub-achievements:
- “Campaign of The War Within”: Complete the entire launch campaign of the expansion, including the four chapters at maximum level 80.
- “Height of Mourning”: Start the quest “Before My Farewell” from Korgran (at coordinates 57.4/43) on the Isle of Thorn and follow the chain up to and including “The Burden of Duty”.
- “Broken Tools”: In the Resounding Depths of Machinist Kittrin (48.2/33.4), accept the quest “Discarded and Broken” and solve it until the follow-up quest “Reforged Destiny”.
- “Merrix and Steel Vein”: This is where you start in the capital city of Dornogal, with the quest “How Scandalous!” from Aldra (62.6/21.8), until you finally end up at “Bad Business”.
If you master the meta-achievement with its four objectives, you can create an Earthen and use the Reins of the Slate Stone Ramolite to welcome the Mount of the Earthen to your collection.
How to unlock the heritage armor of the Earthen
If you reach level 50 with a follower from the Earthen Allied Race, you will receive the achievement “Legacy of the Earthen” as well as the Heritage Armor of the Earthen. Only earthen characters can transmogrify this armor.
Tip: You don’t have to level by hand
. Since The War Within, boosts and race changes have also worked for the traditional armor of allied races. So you can apply a level 70 boost to his freshly created Earthener, or convert an existing character into an Earthen to immediately secure the achievement as well as the Heritage Armor.
Classes and racial abilities of the Earthen
With your freshly earned Earthen, you can pursue the following class careers:
- Hunter
- Magician
- Monk
- Paladin
- Priest
- Rogue
- Shaman
- Sorcerer
- Warrior
The following racial abilities are specific to the Earthen:
- NEW: Silent Reflection: Draw strength from your inner energy. Restores health and mana over 20 seconds. You have to stay seated while thinking.
- Azeri Wave: The Earthen draw from their inner power by casting an empowered spell that, when triggered, summons the power of Azerite in a cone-shaped area in front of them to deal damage to enemies and support allies.
- Hyperproductive: Increased finesse. Finesse increases the chance of receiving additional materials when collecting.
- Eat minerals: You are always full, but you cannot consume food. Eating a Khaz Algar Gem changes the bonus granted by Satiate (Amber: Stamina, Emerald: Speed, Onyx: Mastery, Ruby: Critical Strike, Sapphire: Versatility).
- Creature of the Titans: Increases base armor by 10% from equipped items.
- Amazing Wonders: Gaining experience for discovering a location will give you an additional 200% exploration experience.
By the way, in the official WoW forum, Community Manager Kaivax announced a few hours ago that they wanted to buff some of the racial abilities – and in fact, a hotfix has already gone live.
