In patch 11.0.7 of World of Warcraft, a new mount awaits. We’ll show you how to unlock Thrayir.
On Siren Island in World of Warcraft, most of it revolves around the new ring, “Circe’s Circlet”. But there is also a lot to discover away from that, such as a new flying mount. Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren has a pretty exclusive design and has been requested by fans for a long time. We’ll tell you how to unlock the flight mount.
What kind of mount is this?
Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren is a large petrel that has existed in World of Warcraft game data for almost 10 years, but only became available with patch 11.0.7. You can get the mount on the new Siren Island. You have to complete a few steps, which we present to you in this guide.
Unlock Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren
In order to unlock the flying mount, you need to collect a total of 5 keys and bring them all to a specific location on Siren Island. However, most of the keys are broken into different fragments, so the search can take quite a while. Also note that you must be in the Storm phase of Siren Island for most fragments.
How do you unlock the storm phase?
If you complete all the weekly tasks on the island, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to a goblin lady in the camp afterwards to enter the “Sea Fury Storm” phase – known to most as the “Storm”. Here are many elite enemies and other strange occurrences that are not active during the normal phase of the island.
- Whirling Runekey: Drops from “Ksvir the Forgotten”. This is a rare enemy in the Forgotten Vault. However, the NPC is only present in the storm phase.
- Streaming Runekey: For this you need 7 Streaming Fragment. All mobs in the island’s storm phase have a low chance of dropping these fragments.
- Thundering Rune Key: Collect 5 Thunderous Fragment. All fragments of this type can be obtained from treasure chests on Siren Island. It can be present in crates in both the storm and normal phases.
- Cyclonic Runekey: Drops from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker. This rare enemy appears at coordinates 33 / 74 in the storm phase of Siren Island. Note that this key is not a guaranteed drop, so you will need several attempts.
- Turbulent Rune Key: Is composed of 3 Turbulent Fragments. You can find them at these coordinates, but only in the storm phase of Siren Island:
- 1st Fragment: 33 / 73
- 2nd Fragment: 67 / 78
- 3rd Fragment: 52 / 39
Once you’ve collected all the keys, head once again to the Forgotten Vault (where you found the ring). Make sure you are in the storm phase of the island and then go to the eastern chamber of the vault. Here you will find Thrayir lying on the ground, surrounded by 5 runestones. Activate each of the stones with the corresponding key – and congratulations! The flying mount is yours!
