Riot Games confirmed in the May 12 developer update that Patch 12.10 — arriving with Act 3 on May 27 — will introduce one of the most requested quality-of-life features in Valorant history: replay sharing with friends. For the first time, players will be able to go to a friend’s career page, find any match in their history, and download that replay directly to their own client for VOD review.
What Changes When This Drops
Right now, replay files (which launched in Patch 11.06 back in September 2025) are local and personal. You can review your own matches, but sharing them with teammates requires workarounds — screen recording, file transfers, external tools. Patch 12.10 eliminates all of that. A coach can pull a teammate’s replay in seconds. A duo can dissect a loss together without a single file sent over Discord.
Beyond replay sharing, the Act 3 roadmap includes Sentinel and Initiator buffs in Patch 13.00, a rework to ranked MMR transparency, and anti-win-trading measures — making this one of the more substantial mid-year updates in recent Valorant history.
Why This Matters for Account Choice
Replay sharing is only as useful as the matches it surfaces. An account that has been actively playing ranked in 2026 — with meaningful game history across recent patches — gives you and your teammates something worth reviewing. A fresh account with only placement matches has almost nothing to learn from.

One Thing to Confirm Before You Buy
Replay files are patch-specific and expire after 21 days. An account’s historical replays will not carry over — only games played after you take ownership will generate shareable replays under Patch 12.10. Make sure the account region matches where you play, especially given the EU MFA requirements introduced in earlier patches this season.
