With new looks at Marvel Rivals and Monster Hunter Wilds, release dates for Concord and Silent Hill 2 Remake, as well as a reveal for a brand-new Astro Bot game, there’s a lot heading to PlayStation 5 owners in the coming year.
Firewalk Studios shares a release date and first gameplay trailer for Concord
Sony kicked off the May 2024 State of Play with a new gameplay trailer for Firewalk Studios’ upcoming 5v5 multiplayer shooter Concord. The trailer showcased a pre-rendered cutscene featuring a group of mercenaries. Following the cutscene, Firewalk Studios provided a first look at Concord’s gameplay, highlighting the diverse characters, each with unique weapons and playstyles.
Concord will be released on PC and PS5 on August 23, with a beta planned for July.
God of War Ragnarok is coming to PC this September
Another PlayStation first-party title is making its way to PC: God of War Ragnarok, set to arrive on PC on September 19. The PC version includes the Valhalla DLC and PC-centric features like ultrawide monitor support, unlocked frame rates, and supersampling technologies.
A PlayStation Blog post revealed that a PlayStation Network account is required to play the PC version of God of War Ragnarok. This decision has sparked some controversy, following similar requirements for Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. However, the PSN requirement for Helldivers 2 was later reversed due to public backlash.
Dynasty Warriors Origins Announced, Coming Next Year
Omega Force and KoeiTemco announced Dynasty Warriors Origins, a new installment in the Dynasty Warriors franchise, slated for release sometime next year. Origins will offer a fresh perspective on the Three Kingdoms era, with players taking on the role of a nameless hero.
According to a PlayStation Blog post, Omega Force is utilizing PS5 technology to create a new type of Warriors battlefield, featuring massive armies that extend as far as the eye can see. Dynasty Warriors Origins is coming to PS5 in 2025.
Upcoming open-world RPG Infinity Nikki is getting a beta test sometime in Q3 2024
Infinity Nikki, the vibrant open-world RPG led by former Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga, showcased a new trailer during the State of Play. This “open-world dress-up adventure” features Nikki exploring the continent of Miraland, encountering adorable creatures and experiencing diverse nations, each with its unique culture and history.
While a firm release date was not revealed, a beta test for Infinity Nikki is planned for Q3 of 2024.
Where Winds Meet is headed to PS5
Where Winds Meet, Everstone Studios’ martial arts adventure game, is also coming to PS5, following its initial announcement at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023. Set in the Ten Kingdoms Era, Where Winds Meet allows players to influence the outcome of conflicts as a swordsman. Players’ decisions will shape the course of events, according to a PS Blog post.
Ballad of Antara is a ‘high fidelity’ free-to-play action RPG releasing next year
Ballad of Antara, a dark fantasy RPG developed by TipsWorks Studio, is scheduled for release sometime in 2025. This free-to-play title aims for “the highest fidelity,” offering a vast world with diverse cultures and geological scale. The game features two versions of the world, a “normal” world with common folk and a “Para” world where players encounter peculiar sights and secrets.
The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners’ developer announces new VR game
Skydance Games, the developer behind The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners, announced Behemoth, a new VR game set in “the Forsaken Lands,” a barren wasteland of a once-great civilization. Players face the cold and hostile enemies while uncovering the secrets of this desolate world. Behemoth is set to launch on PSVR2, Meta Quest, and Steam VR in October.
Alien: Rogue Incrusion is out this holiday on PSVR2
Alien: Rogue Incrusion, a VR game developed by Survios, is the next game in the Alien franchise. This single-player action-horror game features an original storyline and places players in the role of an unnamed protagonist exploring a facility overrun by Xenomorphs on the planet Purdan.
Alien: Rogue Incrusion is set to release for PSVR2 this holiday season.
Marvel Rivals is coming to PS5, closed beta set for July
Marvel Rivals, a superhero team-focused PvP shooter featuring Marvel Comics superheroes, was confirmed for PS5, alongside PC and Mac versions. While no release date was revealed, a closed beta test is planned for July.
Until Dawn gets a new trailer and a Fall 2024 release window
Ballistic Moon showcased a new trailer for Until Dawn, a remastered version of the original game, highlighting improvements in graphics and animations. While a firm release date is still pending, the showcase confirmed that Until Dawn will arrive on PC and PS5 sometime this Fall.

Team Asobi teased this project as their “most ambitious game yet.”
