Season 7 brought new whispering zones to Diablo 4, where you can farm XP really well. The feature is so well received by players that many hope it will be permanently integrated into the game. On January 21st, Season 7 in Diablo 4 started and brought new content to the ARPG. There are cool witch powers that complement your builds, new “Occult Gems” and the zones with the whispering tasks have also been expanded. These new “headhunting zones” are also called “Witch Floods” by many players because they are reminiscent of the Hell Floods due to their monster density and design.
Similar to the Hell Tide, you can farm XP really well in the Witch Tides. Many players report that they don’t want to do the whisper tasks any other way. As a result, the Hell Tides take a back seat for many.

How are the zones received by players?
A look at the Diablo 4 subreddit shows that the new zones are really well received by players. Many hope that they will remain in their current form permanently. The delivery system for the gifts is particularly praised: A Raven of the Tree spawns in the areas, where you can easily pick up your boxes.
One user explains on Reddit that he initially thought it was just another hell tide. “But the more I play, the more it feels, like a better whisper zone – and it’s really fun. Blizzard, please make the normal whisper zones more like this,” he writes.
In the same post, Risp_91 comments that the Season Zones are “awesome”. “This has to be the best way to level up to level 60 solo. I haven’t even been to a hell tide, it’s that good lol,” he notes.
Regarding the gifts, Winter_Ad_2618 writes that he loves the new ravens. He can’t play the whisper zones in any other way now. And tacoguyasaurus also thinks that the zones could remain permanent. He says: “I love them so far. There’s so much variety, and the raven delivery system is great.”
What is special about the new zones?
The new “Headhunt Zones” contain a number of whispering tasks where you can collect gifts for the Whispering Tree. Due to the fact that there are always several turquoise headhunting zones active on the map, you can collect gifts there almost continuously as well as farm loot, XP and reputation. There is always a lot going on – even in the zones themselves:
- In the zones you will find numerous whispering tasks that you complete to collect gifts for the Whispering Tree.
- Once you have collected 10 gifts, you turn them in to the ravens of the tree – so you don’t have to leave the zone and travel to the tree as before.
- In the areas, “Exposed Roots” spawn, which produce either loot, monsters or the bosses “Headless Shells”.
- By killing the “Head-Rot” in the Headhunting Zones, you collect “Restless Rot”. You can use it to buy and upgrade Witch Powers.
- By completing the whisper tasks, you will collect reputation in the circle. The more reputation you collect, the more rewards you unlock.
