
Palworld Steam Patch v0.1.4.0 Makes Lots of Welcome Fixes
Pocketpair, the developer behind the immensely popular Palworld, has released a significant update for the Steam version of the game, patching various issues. This v0.1.4.0 patch addresses critical crashes, gameplay glitches, and numerous base-related problems.
Major Fixes
- Crash Prevention: The patch implements a crucial fix for game crashes under certain conditions. This addresses a major source of frustration for players.
- Player Pal/Base Pal Capture Fix: Issues where another player’s pal or base pal could be captured prematurely, even with low health, are resolved.
- Enemy Pal Entrapment: Enemy Pals getting stuck in walls due to charge attacks is now a thing of the past, ensuring smoother combat encounters.
- Addressing the 7000 Pal Cap: The game no longer crashes when the total number of captured Pals exceeds 7000. Importantly, this fix does not restore save data corrupted from exceeding this limit before the patch.
Key Configuration
Improvements in keyboard key configurations are included. This update supports mouse side keys and the numeric keypad. Further enhancements are on the roadmap, such as the addition of interactive key configurations.
Player Issues
- Reduced Damage on Servers: Players on dedicated servers and co-op modes now receive less redundant damage.

- Pal Lifting Key Change: To prevent accidental lifting, the key for lifting Pals has been changed from F to V (Pad: X to Y).
- Fire Spread Mitigation: The speed and range of fire spreading on wooden structures are significantly reduced.
