
Remembrance Tips
Navigating the Remembrances in Elden Ring’s Nightreign can be tricky. These quests, unlocked as your character progresses, offer valuable Relics and Vessels. Here are some helpful tips to streamline your journey:
- Solo Expeditions: Objectives requiring exploration during expeditions are manageable solo.
- Early Run Termination: No need to conquer the Nightlord after completing an objective. Dying to the Day 1 boss suffices to claim your Remembrance reward, saving time and resources.
Wylder
Wylder’s Remembrances delve into his past and motivations. Completing them will reward you with items reflecting his character arc. Each Remembrance involves a unique task, often requiring interaction with other NPCs and exploration of specific areas.
Slate Whetstone
Upon reaching Chapter 3, speak with the Iron Menial. He needs a whetstone, which you can find in the mine north of the lake. Inside, defeat the Tunnel Crystalian boss and grab the Slate Whetstone nearby.
Return to the Remembrance and give the whetstone to the Iron Menial for two random Relics. Take the earring and interact with the ground in your life room. Give the earrings to the Priestess, then end the Remembrance to get the Slate Whetstone relic.
Chalice
Available in Chapter 5, interact with all notes within the Visual Codex room. This unlocks a door in the basement. Descend and find the crypt containing the Iron Menial. Exhaust his dialogue and inspect all tombs. Then, visit the beach and speak with Duchess. Completing these steps grants Wylder’s Chalice upon exiting the Remembrance.
Silver Tear
Unlocked at Chapter 7, get a key from the Iron Menial’s table and open the chest downstairs to find a note. Talk to the Recluse about the Nightlord. Retrieve a Silver Tear from Noklateo Shifting Earth. In the city, find the item guarded by a Mimic Troll. Return to the Iron Menial and give him the Silver Tear to obtain it as a Relic.
Ironeye
Ironeye’s Remembrances focus on uncovering secrets and dealing with betrayal. These quests often involve investigations, confronting enemies, and making difficult choices. Expect moral dilemmas and challenging combat encounters.
Cracked Sealing Wax and Chalice
Starting Chapter 4, find the Priestess in the basement and discuss the traitor. They are located in Limveld; their location is marked on the map. Defeat the Night Huntsman and return to the Priestess with the letter found on the huntsman. End the Remembrance for the Cracked Sealing Wax and a Chalice.
Edge of Order
In Chapter 5, visit the crypt to find both the Priestess and the traitor. The traitor asks for the Edge of Order, obtained by defeating the Darkdrift Knight on Day 3. Give it to the traitor, then talk to the Priestess to complete the quest.
Guardian
The Guardian’s Remembrances center on duty, protection, and uncovering hidden truths. These quests test your combat skills and problem-solving abilities. Prepare for diverse objectives and unexpected twists.
Stone Stake
In Chapter 4, speak to the Iron Menial. He wants you to find the Cracked Golem, randomly located within Limveld. Defeat the golem and provide the item to the Iron Menial to receive the Stone Stake.
Chalice
During Chapter 6, find a spirit merchant in the corner of the Garb room. Talk to him to receive a charm that will knock you out. After waking, speak to the Iron Menial about this incident, then return and eliminate the ghost merchant to obtain Guardian’s Chalice upon exiting the Remembrance.
Third Volume
In Chapter 7, speak with the Iron Menial regarding the Merchant’s Ledger origins. He directs you to the Demon Merchant, who can be found during an expedition. He appears randomly on the map. You must pay 10000 runes to aquire the ledger. Then, return to the Menial once more and obtain the Third Volume as a relic.
Witch’s Brooch / Cracked Witch’s Brooch
In Chapter 9, inspect a bookcase in the Visual Codex room to learn about the Recluse. Speak to her outside, standing on a cliff west of the Roundtable Hold. Choose to either kill or spare her. Sparing her awards you the Witch’s Brooch. Killing her results in the Cracked Witch’s Brooch. Both share the same passives.
Raider
Raider’s Remembrances explore themes of strength, loss, and the pursuit of power. These quests involve challenging duels and difficult decisions. Prepare for intense combat and emotionally charged moments.
Torn Braided Cord
In Chapter 2, go outside to the Garden and speak to the Iron Menial. Touch the large monolith after their conversation. Speak to him again, and he will ask you to fight a boss inside the monolith. Touch it again and you will find the One Strike Gladiator, which you must defeat in a duel. Speak to the Menial after to receive the Torn Braided Cord.
Chalice
Much like the Chapter 2 Remembrance, speak to the Menial to dive deeper into Raider’s history. Enter the monolith to battle the Elder Lion boss. Defeat the boss, and report your victory to the Menial. Exit the Remembrance to obtain Raider’s Chalice.
Black Claw Necklace
You’ll reappear in front of the monolith. Exhaust the Iron Menial’s dialogue, then head to the beach south of the Roundtable Hold. Standing on the shore teleports you to a boss fight with the White Horn. He can transform into an Ulcerated Tree Spirit. Defeat him, talk to the Menial, and pay respects to the gravestone for the Black Claw Necklace.
Executor
Executor’s Remembrances examine themes of faith, sacrifice, and the consequences of power. These quests offer insights into his past and his beliefs. Prepare for morally complex decisions and challenging boss encounters.
Blessed Flowers
During Chapter 2, talk to the Priestess who will ask you to retrieve flowers from Limveld. They are located northeast. They are guarded by a Bloodhound Knight that must be defeated. Once you’re done, get the flowers and give them to the Iron Menial. Interact with the painting set outside to complete the Remembrance and get the Blessed Flowers.
Golden Sprout
For Chapter 5, discuss finding a Golden Seed with the Priestess. It can be found during the Shifting Earth event. It is guarded by an Erdtree Avatar. After defeating the boss, give the seed to the Priestess. This will lead to a boss fight with Executor’s Cry. Defeat the boss, then go towards the shack behind you. Receive the Golden Sprout relic after you wake up from the memory.
Duchess
Duchess’s Remembrances delve into themes of nobility, duty, and the burden of leadership. These quests offer a glimpse into her personal struggles and her relationships with other characters. Expect political intrigue and social challenges.
Golden Dew
In Chapter 2, speak to all the Nightfarers in the Roundtable Hold, and you’ll be assigned to find Golden Dew in Limveld. This item is guarded by the Guardians of the Dew boss fight. Defeat the boss, retrieve the Dew, then give the item to Wylder. Afterwards, talk to Raider, then Revenant outside. Lastly, talk to the Iron Menial to end the Remembrance and receive the Golden Dew relic.
Chalice
In Chapter 5, go to Wylder and eat the bread. Exhaust his dialogue, then speak to the Iron Menial to learn the next step of the Duchess’ story. Afterwards, you can leave the Remembrance for the Chalice reward.
Crown Medal
In Chapter 6, speak to the Raider about Weathervane and exhaust all his dialogue. Then, you can retrieve Weathervane’s Words in Limvled, guarded by Fallen Mercenaries. Beat them, retrieve the item, and go back to the Remembrance. Head to the southern beach in the Hold and beat Revenant in a duel. Exit the Remembrance after for the Crown Medal.
Blessed Iron Coin
For Chapter 8, walk up to the Roundtable Grace and interact with it to bless the coin from the last Remembrance. Then, talk to Iron Menial in the crypt and exhaust all his dialogue. Afterwards, go to Wylder and speak to him. Then, go back to the Menial, and this will end the Remembrance. You will receive the Blessed Iron Coin.
Recluse
Recluse’s Remembrances focus on isolation, knowledge, and the allure of forbidden secrets. These quests are shrouded in mystery and require careful investigation. Prepare for cryptic clues and unsettling revelations.
Chalice
During Chapter 2, speak to the Menial. He wants you to slay a creature of the Night. This means you must find the Night-Swallowed Golden Hippopotamus in Limveld. It will be marked on your map during an expedition. After slaying the Golden Hippo, return to the Menial for Recluse’s Chalice.
Vestige of Night
For Chapter 4, read the Menial’s note on the Roundtable. Make your way to the beds past the Iron Menial’s table. There is a bed with a dark, glowing aura. Interact with it to receive the Vestige of Night key. Show the item to the Iron Menial to end the Remembrance and receive the Vestige as a relic.
Bone-Like Stone
For Chapter 6, head to the Sparring Grounds and attack the Iron Menial there, as he is an impostor. Speak to the impostor and exhaust all her dialogue, where she will direct you to the crypt. Head there, then talk to the real Iron Menial. He will give you the Bone-Like Stone at the end of the Remembrance.
Revenant
Revenant’s Remembrances explore themes of memory, regret, and the struggle for identity. These quests involve revisiting past events and confronting inner demons. Prepare for emotionally intense moments and challenging battles.
Small Makeup Brush
In Chapter 2, speak to Duchess first, then talk to Guardian. He will task you to defeat either Tricephalos or the Darkdrift Knight again. You will need to defeat them again as Revenant to receive the Blade of Night Fragment. Afterwards, return to the Guardian and leave the Remembrance to receive the Small Makeup Brush relic.
Chalice
For Chapter 5, talk to Duchess and ask her about the Corrosion. Then, go to the Garden pathway and speak to the Recluse standing by a bench. Sit on the bench and you’ll be teleported to a boss room. Defeat the Corrosion boss and interact with the Revenant doll. Afterwards, talk to Recluse again and leave the Remembrance for Revenant’s Chalice.
Old Portrait
Lastly, for Chapter 7, go back to the bench where the Recluse is and speak to her. Exhaust all her dialogue, then sit on the bench again to challenge another boss. This time, you will face the Contaminant. Defeat it, watch the cutscene, then speak to the Recluse one last time to end the Remembrance and receive the Old Portrait relic.
