In Diablo 4, one event chases the next—and soon, the March of the Goblins will return! This event gives you the chance to hunt down treasure goblins and grab their fat loot. Even better, the new goblin variants introduced during the event will stay in the game permanently. Don’t miss out on the riches—Buy Diablo 4 Gold now and get ahead of the competition!

What kind of event is this?

In the “March of the Goblins” event, the Treasure Goblins are up to mischief in Sanctuary – and they drop valuable loot bags when you kill them. The event runs from March 4, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. to March 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. You can find the goblins in the open world, at Shrines of Greed, and at the world boss Knorzer.

On top of that, there are new goblin variants this time. They spawn less often than the normal treasure goblins and can drop really strong loot – including even the coveted Mythic Uniques.

What are these Treasure Goblins?

The new variants of the Treasure Goblins appear less often in Sanctuary, but they also drop really strong loot. According to Blizzard, the following new variants will be available at the “March of the Goblins” event:

  • Ector the Vile (green): Drops various crafting materials and gives you Obpsy if you defeat him at a Torment level.
  • Golden Baron (yellow): Drops plenty of gold.
  • Glittering Prym (light blue): Drops Gem Fragments, Runes, and at Torment Levels, Undercity Tributes, as well as Scattered Prisms.
  • Murl the Curious (purple): Drops a Contribution Bag that remains in your inventory if you have reached the maximum number of Coins.
  • Syrus von Gallert (blue): Splits into two goblins on death, which in turn dissolve into three. If you kill the smallest goblins, they will drop legendaries, gold, boss mats and, with luck, elixirs.
  • Fedric the Shiny Old Man (purple-pink): Spawns very rarely. Drops a Mythic Unique and a “Magnificent Spark” for crafting Mythics.

Some of the new Treasure Goblins are reminiscent of the goblins from Diablo 3 – such as the Golden Baron, who also dropped gold in the predecessor. The Glittering Prym also had its counterpart in Diablo 3 with the Gem Goblin. However, there does not seem to be a Menagerist Goblin that drops pets here.

Blizzard points out that the new Goblin variants will remain in all Diablo 4 realms after the event – but with a lower spawn rate. Killing the Treasure Goblins will also earn you Renown during the event. The higher your Renown, the higher your chance of getting valuable loot. If you complete your Renown, you will receive a “Magnificent Spark”.
