The developers of Lost Ark have presented the next sub-class of the MMORPG in a new video. It lets you take the form of different animals and summon ghost beasts.
What kind of class is this?
In Lost Ark, players choose their character from one of six main classes. However, it gets interesting when choosing the sub-class because this is where a lot is decided about the playstyle of your own character. Now, after a long wait of 11 months, the developers have introduced a new class with the sub-class “Wild Soul”, which is scheduled to be released in February.

Players with this sub-class can transform into a bear or a nine-tailed fox and receive different attributes and attacks depending on their form.
In bear form, the Wildsoul takes a lot of damage and deals massive attacks. The Fox style is the opposite: it’s all about mobility and a fast, fluid combat feel. The Wildsoul keeps moving with short cooldowns and quick combo attacks.
The core of the gameplay lies in the alternation between the two forms. First defensive stats have to be built up and then damage can be dealt with charged abilities.
When are the Animal Spirits used?
The “Wild Soul” can not only transform into a bear and fox like a druid, but can also summon spirit beasts to aid it in battle. These creatures provide the character with cooldown reduction, mana regeneration, and other buffs.
In addition, the class’s Ghost Meter charges up in combat, which can activate a condition where the character can attack extra fast, move faster, and deal more critical damage.
