FFXIV 6.2: Guide to Amazing Tradeable Weapons

Final Fantasy XIV’s patches consistently deliver fresh experiences, from captivating narratives to exciting new adventures. Patch 6.2, titled ‘Buried Memory’, brought a host of additions, including formidable dungeons, engaging trials, and charming collectibles. Among these updates, a particular set of weapons truly captured the community’s attention: the exquisite Fae’s Crown series, offering both stunning aesthetics and practical appeal as tradeable items. These armaments stand out as sought-after glamour pieces and valuable market board commodities, allowing players to personalize their appearance in fascinating ways.

FFXIV Fae’s Crown – Titania Weapons

The Fae’s Crown weapons, also known as Titania weapons, are renowned for their captivating design, drawing inspiration directly from the queen of the pixies herself. Each weapon is meticulously crafted with a distinct butterfly motif, featuring iridescent glows that shift through a rainbow spectrum. Delicate butterflies flutter around the user, accompanied by soft, ethereal bubbles that add to their magical aura. The entire visual effect is dynamic, changing color and intensity as the weapon is drawn or sheathed, making them an unparalleled choice for glamour enthusiasts. These extraordinary items are tradeable, meaning players can acquire them directly from the market board, making them accessible to everyone regardless of crafting proficiency. It’s a shame, however, that newer jobs like Sage and Reaper do not have corresponding versions, as their existence post-Titania’s extreme trial meant no base weapon was initially available for adaptation.

How to Craft Titania Weapons

For those who prefer to forge their own path, crafting Titania weapons offers a rewarding challenge. To undertake this endeavor, crafters must meet specific criteria. Firstly, you need to have reached at least level 80 in the relevant Disciple of the Hand class for the weapon you intend to create. Secondly, the crafting job must be designated as a ‘Specialist’ to access these master-level recipes. Lastly, crafters need to have unlocked the Master Recipes VII book for their specific craft, which contains the blueprints for these exquisite items. Each weapon requires a ‘Dancing Wing’ and eight ‘Kingcraft Demimateria,’ alongside other profession-specific ingredients. The ‘Dancing Wing’ is a rare drop from ‘The Dancing Plague (Extreme)’ trial, though it can also be purchased from the market board. ‘Kingcraft Demimateria’ can be obtained by exchanging 25 White Crafter’s Scrips per piece or by buying them directly from the market.

Recipes to craft Titania Weapons

The crafting recipes for the Fae’s Crown weapons are comprehensive, spanning various Disciple of the Hand classes, each with unique material requirements tailored to their discipline. While the common components—one Dancing Wing and eight Kingcraft Demimateria—remain consistent across all recipes, the additional raw materials vary significantly, reflecting the complexity and specialization of each craft. Gathering these diverse ingredients can be a time-consuming process, involving everything from farming specific monster drops and gathered nodes to crafting intermediate materials. Players aiming to craft multiple weapons will find their inventory and dedication tested. For crafters who have mastered their trade and invested in the necessary specialist skills and master recipe books, forging these weapons offers a true sense of accomplishment. Alternatively, for those short on time or specific crafting skills, the market board remains a viable option to acquire both the raw materials and the finished products.
