PlayStation Plus February 2025 Games Announced
Sony has unveiled the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in February 2025. Three titles will be available starting February 4th – Payday 3 (PS5), High on Life (PS4 & PS5), and Pac-Man World Re-Pac (PS4 & PS5). These titles are available at no additional cost for all PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Payday 3
Payday 3, a cooperative heist shooter from Starbreeze Entertainment, has had a rather turbulent launch. While the game offers intense action and engaging gameplay, early reviews and player feedback point towards a lackluster experience, particularly on PC where many players have migrated back to the previous installments for better online experiences. Despite initial difficulties, the addition of an offline mode, which ironically requires an online connection to access and performs below standards, has not fully revived player interest. Sony’s decision to include Payday 3 in the February lineup may be an attempt to capture a new wave of players or to keep existing players engaged despite its controversial history.
High on Life
High on Life offers a unique comedic take on the first-person shooter genre. Players step into the role of a bounty hunter armed with sentient guns that often employ crude humor and biting sarcasm. This offbeat blend of action and comedy has earned critical acclaim, with an 8/10 rating from a prominent gaming review site. This quirky, thought-provoking game makes it an intriguing choice for February 2025. The humor-driven gameplay could draw in players who enjoy a lighter take on action games.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac
Pac-Man World Re-Pac brings the classic 1999 platformer to a modern audience with enhanced visuals and refined controls. These titles will be accessible to PlayStation Plus subscribers until March 3rd. PlayStation Plus subscribers who haven’t added the January 2025 PS Plus games to their libraries (Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable) have until February 3rd to do so. This allows for flexibility and ensures players can explore the latest additions to the PlayStation Plus library at their convenience.
