EA SPORTS FC 26 Ultimate Team is entering another major week of endgame content with the arrival of FUTTIES Team 2. The new squad is scheduled to enter packs on Friday, July 31, 2026, during the regular Ultimate Team content refresh, replacing the Team 1 player items that were available during the opening week of the campaign. FUTTIES will continue across four weeks with new player items, SBCs, Objectives, Evolutions, Live Events and returning cards from earlier FC 26 promotions.
Players planning to buy new FUTTIES cards, complete expensive Player SBCs or rebuild their squads can prepare by purchasing FC 26 Coins from iGV. Having a flexible coin balance makes it easier to react when new cards reach the Transfer Market, purchase missing SBC players and take advantage of price changes during the opening weekend.
What Is New in FUTTIES Team 2?
FUTTIES Team 2 represents the second rotation of the main FC 26 FUTTIES promotion. Once the update goes live, Team 1 cards will leave the standard pack pool, although existing cards can still be bought and sold on the Transfer Market.
The release is expected to introduce another collection of highly upgraded active players, Icons and Heroes. EA has designed FUTTIES as a celebration of the most popular players and content released throughout the FC 26 season, making each weekly squad especially important for players building their final endgame teams.
Customisable FUTTIES Players
The most important feature of regular FUTTIES player items is that they begin with no preset PlayStyles or PlayStyle+. Instead of receiving a card with a fixed gameplay profile, players can customise eligible FUTTIES items through PlayStyle Lab Evolutions.
The PlayStyle+ limit has also been increased to four during FUTTIES, giving players significantly more freedom when designing attackers, midfielders and defenders. EA has also stated that a fifth PlayStyle+ Evolution Consumable will become available toward the end of the campaign.
This system changes how players should evaluate a FUTTIES card. The starting position, body type, attributes, alternate positions, Skill Moves and Weak Foot can be more important than the card’s initial PlayStyle selection because the gameplay characteristics can be personalised later.
Every FUTTIES player item has at least five-star Skill Moves or a five-star Weak Foot and four alternate positions. This makes the cards easier to use in different formations and allows managers to change tactics without replacing several players.
Best of Re-Release Batch 2
FUTTIES Team 2 is not the only content attracting attention this week. Best of Re-Release Batch 2 is expected to return another large selection of special cards from previous FC 26 promotions to packs.
Reports surrounding Batch 2 have highlighted major players such as Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr., Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha and Harry Kane. These returning cards give players more opportunities to obtain popular items that may previously have been extremely expensive or difficult to pack.
The increased supply of special cards can also create significant Transfer Market movement. Some older promo cards may fall in price as more copies enter the market, while cards that provide valuable chemistry links for new FUTTIES players may temporarily become more expensive.
Why Batch 2 Matters for SBC Players
A larger number of special cards in packs usually means more high-rated duplicate players. These duplicates can be recycled into upgrade SBCs, Player Picks, exchanges and premium Player SBCs.
Players should avoid discarding valuable duplicate cards without first checking the available SBC menu. Even a special card that cannot enter the starting squad may reduce the cost of completing a high-rated SBC segment.
Batch 2 may also make 88-rated, 89-rated and 90-rated cards more accessible. This can lower the overall cost of completing FUTTIES Player SBCs, although prices may still rise when a particularly popular player challenge is released.
The Most Important Team 2 Content
The FUTTIES campaign is much larger than the main pack squad. EA is releasing content through several different modes, allowing players to earn rewards without depending entirely on packs.
Player SBCs
EA confirmed that the first FUTTIES week would contain nine Player SBCs, including seven regular FUTTIES players and two FUTTIES Icons or Heroes. Additional Squad Building Challenges will continue to arrive each week.
Team 2 should therefore bring another busy SBC schedule. Popular attackers, Icons and versatile midfielders are likely to attract the most attention, especially when they provide five-star upgrades or strong chemistry options.
Before completing an expensive SBC, players should compare the total challenge cost with the price of similar tradeable players. An untradeable SBC card may offer excellent long-term value, but the coins and fodder cannot be recovered once the challenge has been submitted.
Objectives and Live Events
FUTTIES includes themed Objectives that remain available throughout the four-week campaign. Celebration Time allows players to earn celebrations and pack rewards, while Goal-den Touch provides a Shooting Evolution Consumable.
House Rules have also returned through special FUTTIES events. These include Sudden Death Showdown, which features a Penalty Shootout Exhibition, and the new FUTTIES Gauntlet.
Completing Objectives can provide packs, Evolution items and additional FUTTIES players. Even players with limited coins should check the Objective requirements because some rewards can become useful starters or valuable SBC fodder.
FUTTIES Token Store
The FUTTIES Token Store refreshes on Fridays. Tokens can be earned through Division Rivals, Squad Battles, Rush, Champions, SBCs and other activities.
EA has increased the number of Tokens available in several game modes while keeping the weekly earning limit at 1,000 Tokens. Champions now awards 100 Tokens for every win, and three Champions wins can provide enough Tokens to claim a Player Item under the updated Season 9 structure.
Players should check the Token Store before every Friday refresh. Saving all Tokens indefinitely may result in missing a useful Evolution or player reward, but spending immediately can also be inefficient if a stronger offer is expected later in the campaign.
How Team 2 Could Affect FC 26 Prices
The first hours of a major promo are normally among the most volatile periods of the week. Many players open saved packs immediately, traders list new cards at uncertain prices and buyers compete for the most popular items.
New FUTTIES Cards
Premium FUTTIES cards may initially appear at very high prices because the supply is limited. Unless a player is essential for Weekend League, waiting for more packs to be opened can reduce the amount of FC 26 Coins required.
Affordable cards can behave differently. If a FUTTIES item is popular, versatile and easy to link, demand may rise after players begin testing it. Checking the player’s attributes, alternate positions and Evolution eligibility is therefore more important than judging the card only by its overall rating.
Re-Released Players
Older special cards included in Batch 2 may decline as additional supply reaches the Transfer Market. This can create opportunities to buy previously expensive players at more accessible prices.
However, not every re-released player will remain competitive. Before spending coins, compare the card with current FUTTIES options and check whether its PlayStyles, roles, pace and physical attributes are still suitable for the endgame meta.
SBC Fodder
Fodder prices can fall when players open large numbers of packs, but they can quickly recover when a popular SBC is released. Players completing several challenges should avoid buying every required card at the same time.
Purchasing missing ratings gradually and using untradeable club players first can make a major difference to the final SBC cost.
How to Build Around FUTTIES Team 2
A strong endgame squad requires more than collecting the highest-rated cards. The team still needs positional balance, chemistry and players who perform the correct roles.
Attack
Five-star Skill Moves and a five-star Weak Foot are especially valuable for attackers. Strikers should combine finishing, acceleration and responsive dribbling, while wide players need enough stamina and passing ability to contribute throughout the match.
PlayStyle Lab can be used to specialise an attacker as a finisher, creator or direct runner. Players should choose upgrades based on their formation rather than automatically selecting the most popular attacking PlayStyles.
Midfield
Versatile FUTTIES midfielders may become some of the most valuable Team 2 cards because they can cover several positions. A balanced midfield normally needs one defensive player, one progressive passer and one player capable of entering the penalty area.
Alternate positions can make these cards particularly useful when switching between formations. A player starting at CDM for chemistry may move to CM or full-back after kickoff, depending on the available positions and tactical setup.
Defence
Endgame attackers are extremely fast and technically strong, so defenders need pace, strength, defensive awareness and reliable animations. Full-backs also need stamina because aggressive attacking instructions can leave space behind the defensive line.
Customisable PlayStyles give players an opportunity to improve a defender’s tackling, aerial ability, recovery speed or passing. The best choice depends on whether the team uses a high defensive line, manual pressing or a more compact approach.
Should You Spend Coins During Team 2?
Team 2 offers several reasons to spend, but players do not need to buy every new card immediately. A sensible strategy is to identify the weakest two or three positions in the squad and focus the available budget on upgrades that will remain useful for the rest of FUTTIES.
Players chasing a specific FUTTIES card can purchase it directly from the Transfer Market instead of relying entirely on packs. Players focused on SBCs should reserve enough coins for missing fodder, while Evolution users should keep part of their budget available for eligible base cards.
Buying FC 26 Coins from iGV can provide additional flexibility when a desired player, SBC or market opportunity appears. The key is to prepare a clear spending plan before the content refresh rather than using the entire coin balance during the first wave of excitement.
Final Thoughts
FUTTIES Team 2 is set to be one of the biggest FC 26 updates of the summer. New customisable players, returning special cards, Player SBCs, Token rewards, Objectives and Evolutions will give almost every type of Ultimate Team player something to pursue.
The strongest approach is to combine gameplay rewards with careful Transfer Market purchases. Monitor prices after the release, recycle duplicate cards into useful SBCs and prioritise players who genuinely improve the squad. With the right preparation and enough FC 26 Coins, Team 2 can provide several major upgrades without wasting resources before the next FUTTIES rotation.
