How well can you really farm loot from the Uber bosses in Diablo 4? A player tried it out. The result is sobering, but doesn’t really surprise the community.
Why Andariel?
- Andariel and Duriel are the two endgame bosses where you can best farm the coveted Uber Uniques.
- The possible loot includes the Godslayer Crown and Tibault’s Will, two coveted items, but also some important uniques for the Spiritborn: Sepazontec and the Staff of Kepeleke, both of which are essential for certain builds.
- To be able to fight Andariel, you must have reached at least Torment 1 and need materials to summon it. In our guide you will find everything you need to know about how to summon and defeat Andariel.
This is the result after 250 runs: One user on Reddit has stated that he has defeated Andariel “about 250 times”. That cost him 5 billion gold and a decent amount of time. In the end, he received about 3,000 items, of which:
- roughly 60 with a large affix
- 7 with 2 sizes affixes
- no items with 3 or 4 large affixes
- 3 Mythic uniques he can’t use
- One of three runes he needs to craft an Uber Unique himself
All in all, this was a waste of gold and time, the user writes. In the more than 570 comments, there are doubts as to whether the numbers can be correct: “He didn’t really count and tried to make it sound worse than it is.” 3,000 items are not realistic for the number of kills, it would have to be significantly less.
Other users think that the result could well be true. They themselves had experienced something similar.
“The main problem is that the loot is completely useless”
Another player calculates: The result corresponds to a drop rate of about 2% for ancestral items. This coincides with his own observations. Season 6 is nowhere near as generous with strong items as the seasons have been before.
But the problem is not so much how much loot you really get, but how good it is. The community agrees on this. Even if you get tons of items, a good part of them is still useless.
For example, it is the unloved stats such as poison resistance that appear as a great affix. Players even discuss that the values have a “weighting” and refer to the order of the possible values for the enchanter.
However, the problem does not affect the entire community. Some are always chasing the ultimate in items and only want perfect results when crafting; others are satisfied with the improvements they find and never come into contact with the problems of those up there.
