Assassin’s Creed Shadows Riddle Answers

All Riddle Answers

Navigating the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows often involves interacting with NPCs who pose riddles. Solving these enigmas unlocks valuable rewards, from Mon to crucial information. This guide provides the correct answers to two common riddles encountered during your adventures in feudal Japan, as Naoe or Yasuke.

Riddle 1

A merchant-like NPC, identifiable by his varying attire, may approach you with a wager. He’ll propose a riddle, and the answer to it holds a significant monetary reward. The riddle itself goes as follows:

Riddle: I am drawn in from the bottom and released from the mouth. What am I?

  • Is it a burp?
  • Is it tobacco smoke?
  • Is it an evil spirit?

The correct answer is tobacco smoke. The merchant will feel obligated to pay you the wagered Mon. You’ll then have a choice: accept the Mon, or let him keep it. Forgoing the Mon will yield a varied reward, potentially including Scout Intel, locations of Legendary Chests, a collection of crests, or a merchant rumor.

Riddle 2

In Katano Kakurega, a noblewoman, typically depicted as an elderly woman with fluctuating attire, will present a riddle connected to a seashell. The precise nature of the riddle depends on the exact quest or encounter, but it will revolve around identifying the province of origin of the seashell.

Riddle: Which province does the seashell originate from?

  • It must be from Omi.
  • It is from Kyoto.
  • I believe it’s from Wakasa.

The correct response is Wakasa. Your reward for successfully answering will lead to a selection: either marking a Scout Spot or uncovering a World Rumor. The World Rumor, especially the Butterfly Collector Rumor, generally offers the more substantial gain.

By mastering these riddle answers, your journey through Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be smoother and more rewarding. These answers grant access to significant in-game resources and intelligence, ultimately enhancing your progress in the game.
