Sharper Graphics
If you’re looking to improve the visual fidelity of your FFXIV experience with Dawntrail, there’s a simple adjustment you can make. Navigate to the ‘System Configuration’, find ‘Graphics Settings’, and adjust the ‘3D Resolution Scaling’ to 99%. Although it defaults to 100% upon installing the expansion, reducing it slightly forces the game to render a noticeably sharper image. This tweak is an effortless way to enhance the graphical details and enjoy the beautifully crafted world of Eorzea with increased clarity.
Easy Relic Weapons
The Dawntrail expansion streamlines the process for acquiring powerful relic weapons. Previously, players utilized specific Tomestones to craft these potent items. However, the introduction of this new chapter consolidates these materials into Tomestones of Poetics, which are now more abundantly available through various activities, including daily roulettes. Take advantage of this simplified system by earning and spending Poetics to enhance your combat capabilities with these impressive weapons, tailored to each of your adventuring jobs.
Double Dye
One delightful tweak introduced with Dawntrail is the capability to apply secondary dyes to specific parts of your gear. This feature, called Double Dye, enables further customization of your character’s appearance. While new equipment from the expansion inherently supports this, many players might not realize that numerous pre-existing outfits also accommodate secondary color modifications. Questing Trick
The surge of players in newly released expansions can crowd NPC quest givers, making interactions difficult. Dawntrail offers a clever solution to this common annoyance. Within the Character Configuration menu, navigate to Control Settings and scroll to discover the ‘Quest Progression Settings.’ Here, you can activate the option to ‘Hide nearby players when close to quest NPCs’. This setting significantly declutters your screen, allowing you to focus on accepting and completing quests without the need to wrestle through a crowd, preserving your immersion and streamlining your adventure.
