Dragon Ball Legends Gear Guide

What is Equipment in Dragon Ball Legends?

Equipment in Dragon Ball Legends are items that you equip to your characters. They boost stats, provide unique skills, and even add buffs to specific character types. Think of them as active item builds that enhance a character’s combat abilities. These aren’t just cosmetic items; they significantly impact a character’s performance in battle.

These items often include stat increases, such as boosts to damage output for specific character types, improved defense, and, crucially, unique skills. While equipment doesn’t directly increase critical rate or critical damage, it can provide significant overall buffs that are far more beneficial. iGV is a treasure trove filled with a myriad of Dragon Ball Legends accounts, each one a unique gem waiting to be discovered. How to Choose Equipment

Equipping characters is straightforward. Navigate to your character selection screen (Menu > Characters > Party Formation). You’ll see your characters and their equipment slots. Select the character, click the slot, and choose the desired equipment. Initially, most characters have three equipment slots; these increase with character progression.

  • Matching Tags: Some equipment is tailored to specific character types. Match equipment to the character tags for maximum benefit.
  • Avoid Duplicates: Equipment with the same name can’t be used on the same character twice. Pay attention to names to avoid errors.
  • Limit Breaks: Some equipment requires specific limit break levels before they can be used. Check the prerequisites.

Best Equipment for Character Lineups

Choosing the right equipment for your lineup is crucial. Optimizing your units with equipment that enhances their strengths maximizes their impact in battle. Consider the following examples, based on common team compositions:

Saiyan Lineup

  • SP Super Saiyan 3 Goku (Purple): This unit benefits from equipment that boosts base attack, such as “This is the Kaioken,” and those that provide a significant strike buff, like “Mind Your Own Business, Tin Men!”.
  • SP Super Saiyan Bardock (Blue): Equipment that boosts base attack, like “This is the Kaioken,” and improves strike output, as in “Mind Your Own Business, Tin Men!” will help Bardock excel.
  • SP Angry Goku (Blue): “Awakened You Fool! No. 1” is excellent for enhancing base HP, strike defense, and blast defense.

Regeneration Lineup

  • SP Majin Buu: Good (Green): Look for equipment boosting HP regeneration (e.g., “Aaaahahaha!”) and increasing strike or blast defense (e.g., “Yaaaah!!”).
  • SP Buu: Kid (Blue): Prioritize equipment that enhances special move damage (“Haaaaaaaa!”) and base strike attack (“You Will Die Along With The Earth!!”).
  • SP Half-Corrupted Fusion Zamasu (Red): Equipment like “I’ll Send It Back!” and “Bwaaaaa!” boosts blast defense and complements Zamasu’s strength.

Vegeta Family Lineup

  • SP Super Saiyan 2 Trunks (Blue): Focus on equipment that boosts strike and blast defense, like “I want to fight!”, and base blast defense.
  • SP Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta (Future) (Purple): Seek equipment like “Saiyans don’t do limits!” and “Let’s go, Vegeta!” for base blast attack and defense, respectively.
  • SP Vegeta (Yellow): Look for equipment like “Battle of Saiyans” for defense, and those that enhance base blast attack like “Super Kaioken!!” and “This Should Be Fun!” for hybrid characters.

Future Lineup

  • SP Goku Black (Green): Equipment that boosts damage against hybrid characters is a priority. Look at items that enhance blast attack and defense (e.g., “You’re sure to win!”).
  • SP Perfect Form Cell (Revived) (Red): Focus on equipment that boosts base strike defense, like “Awakened Don’t you agree? No. 1.” Also consider “Perfect Cell” equipment which provides a special buff for Cell.
  • SP LL Super Saiyan Gohan (Yellow): Seek equipment that boosts overall strike or blast defense like “I want to fight!” to increase HP and ultimate damage.

Remember that these are suggestions. Experiment with different equipment combinations to find what works best for your specific team composition and playstyle.
