When you reach level 25 of the Necromancer, you can unlock and equip the Golem in Diablo 4. But how do you activate the skill and what should you keep in mind? iGV has tips.
How do I unlock the Golem?
When you reach level 25 as a Necromancer, you will automatically receive the class quest “Necromancer: Call of the Underworld” to unlock the Golem. The quest requires you to pray at the Shrine of Rathma, which can be found northwest of the Menestadt waypoint.
Once you have interacted with the shrine, a spectral presence will appear that you should address. The presence called Maltorius gives you the task of picking up “unbroken bones”. Just kill a few of the bone warriors running around the area.
After that, head to the cave in the area south of Menestad. After interacting with the Soul Vessel in the cave, you kill spirits to fill the vessel. Finally, kill the elite enemy and talk to Maltorius again, who appears in the cave. After that, you can equip your Golem. To do this, go to the “Book of the Dead” in the character sheet.
How do I summon the golem?
Once you have completed the quest, open the Book of the Dead and select a golem type. Initially, you can equip the Bone Golem – you unlock the Blood Golem at level 28, the Iron Golem at 32.
Now go to your skill tree and switch to “Skill Assignment”. Slide the skill into your skill bar and the golem will run with you – you don’t need to press anything.
What else is there to know?
Here are two more important information about the Golem:
- Think about the attack: Your golem can perform a skill that you activate yourself. Make sure to trigger the golem regularly so that it deals more damage and makes itself and you unstoppable for the period.
- Respawn from the Golem: The big helpers can also go down. Don’t worry: You don’t need to do anything to bring the golem back to the battlefield. After 20 seconds, your friend returns and throws himself back into the fight.
