Diablo 4 2.0 Patch Notes: Vessel of Hatred

Diablo 4 update 2.0.2 patch notes:

Game Updates

Balance Updates

Blizzard has implemented significant changes to legendary aspect affix values, introducing separate caps for ancestral and non-ancestral items. This means the maximum values for aspects are now exclusively found on ancestral items. This change aims to enhance item progression as players advance through the game’s different difficulty levels, increasing the excitement of acquiring ancestral items.

User Interface and User Experience

  • A new keybind has been added for walking/running.
  • Paragon levels are now properly displayed on character profiles and in menus.
  • Gems and runes can be freely exchanged without visiting the Jeweler.

Unsocketting items no longer incurs a gold cost. When trying to socket a gem into a two-socket item already full, the bottom gem is removed. Socketing a gem into a rune-containing item automatically removes the runes. The reverse is true when socketing runes into an item.

Miscellaneous

  • The Blacksmith Cache now requires 5 Forgotten Souls to craft.
  • The process of crafting Mythic Unique items has been adjusted to include a combination of Resplendent Sparks and unique Runes.
  • Runes are now guaranteed drops from specific in-game sources, including campaign bosses, Whisper Caches, world bosses, and Stronghold bosses for specific types of runes.
  • Impairment Reduction is no longer an item affix.

Bug Fixes

Class Specific

A variety of bugs affecting different classes have been addressed, including issues related to skill functionalities, node functions, and tempering interactions.

Items and Tempering

Fixes are in place for inaccuracies in legendary aspect values, issues with certain item interactions, and inconsistencies in the dropping of ancestral legendary items.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixes for UI elements such as vendor/crafter menus, quest descriptions, and various in-game text messages.
  • Fixes for potential issues with character movement and in-game interactions (e.g., mounting).
  • Various performance, UI, visual, and stability improvements across the game.
