Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.12 Full Notes

CD Projekt Red has released Patch 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077, addressing a range of issues impacting players across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This patch focuses on key improvements following Patch 2.11, with specific attention to problems like keybindings and in-game stability. This update signifies further progress in refining the player experience.

PC-Specific Fixes

  • Keybinding Improvements: Properly rebinding radio-port and dropping body actions on AZERTY keyboards. The T key is now consistently assigned for switching quest objectives across all keyboards.
  • Binding Errors Resolved: Fixes an error preventing the assignment of the T key to actions in the Exploration & Combat section.
  • Performance Enhancements: Collaboration with Intel resolved stuttering issues when “Prioritize P-Cores” is active. The same collaboration also resulted in fixes for crashes linked to Razer Chroma devices.
  • Visual Fidelity: Improves the display of NPC hair within vehicles, particularly when Ray Tracing is enabled. The issue is addressed by adjusting the lighting and rendering parameters.
  • Platform Stability: Fixes a Steam Deck crash that occurs when Ray Tracing is turned on. The patch addresses the stability issue in this specific configuration.

Xbox-Specific Fixes

  • Infinite Loading Fix: This patch addresses the critical issue where the game could enter an infinite loading loop, crash or hang on Xbox, especially when using specific save files. This is an important stability improvement for the Xbox platform.

Fixes Affecting All Platforms

  • Menu Accessibility: A significant fix addresses the inability to access menus, inventory, stash, holocalls, and fast travel, improving the core functionality of the game.
  • Quickhack Description Update: Clarifies the description for the Sonic Shock quickhack to reflect its current functionality following the changes in Patch 2.1.
  • Controller Cursor Enhancement: Improves the visibility of the controller cursor within menus and while interacting with computers or keypads. This enhances user-friendliness, particularly for Steam Deck users and controller-oriented players on all platforms.
  • Notification Fix: Enables access to Automated Delivery System notifications in the New Dawn Fades quest.
  • Melee Adjustments: Improves the effectiveness of melee finishers, addressing inconsistencies where the finisher didn’t consistently register as intended.
  • Car Chase Realism: Enemy cars now engage in more realistic car chase scenarios, shooting at Panam’s van in pursuit.
  • Conversation Bug Fix: Fixes an issue where conversations with Reed could get stuck or fail to initiate, preventing players from advancing the plot in Nocturne Op55N1.
  • Quickhack Categorization: Categorizes the Sonic Shock quickhack as a Covert quickhack, adding clarity to its function and purpose.
  • Immortal Enemy Removal: Eliminates instances where groups of immortal enemies might appear in Night City, enhancing combat encounters by addressing a significant nuisance for players.
  • Perk Screen Fix: Fixes the display of certain elements on the perk screen when Colorblind Mode is activated, ensuring consistency in UI elements across visual preferences.
  • Skill Enhancement: Correctly applies the increased critical chance to the BioDyne Berserk perk’s Reflexes Attunement, fixing a critical bug that had been impacting damage output.

Patch 2.12 represents a proactive step in addressing player feedback and implementing improvements across various aspects of the game. By addressing these issues, CD Projekt Red aims to further enhance the overall Cyberpunk 2077 experience for all players.
