Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded Patch Notes (March 13, 2024):
The mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is here, bringing significant changes to weapon balance, spawn locations, and more. This patch aims to refine the gameplay experience based on player feedback and data analysis, focusing on fair combat and addressing identified issues.
Global
Customization
This update addresses a visual issue with the Lament BlackCell Blueprint. Specifically, the patch restores missing visual effects that were intended to appear at the weapon’s muzzle. This ensures that the cosmetic item functions as intended and provides the visual flair that players expect from premium content.
Multiplayer
Numerous adjustments and fixes have been applied to enhance the multiplayer experience. These changes span various aspects of the game, aiming for a smoother and more enjoyable combat environment. The development team has been actively monitoring player feedback and in-game data to identify and address areas needing improvement.
UIX
Several bug fixes address user interface and experience issues. These include improved performance when scrolling through Calling Cards, preventing tracked Prestige Challenges from disappearing, ensuring seasonal content in offline mode matches online content, and resolving an issue where saving a Custom Mod could remove certain Camos. These fixes enhance the overall usability of the game’s menus and customization options.
Progression
Corrections have been made to challenges associated with the SOA Subverter. The Gilded Mastery Challenge now accurately displays the correct requirements for completion, and the Priceless Camo Challenge is now properly tracked, ensuring that players receive appropriate credit for their progress. These fixes allow players to pursue these challenges without encountering frustrating errors.
Maps
Adjustments have been made to spawn points on the Skidrow map, specifically within the Hardpoint game mode. The addition of new spawn locations aims to reduce the likelihood of “unfavorable flips,” where teams repeatedly spawn in disadvantageous positions. This change contributes to a more balanced and competitive gameplay experience on this map.
Modes
Private Match settings have received an update to allow for increased player counts. The maximum number of players and bots has been raised from 12 to 24. This provides more flexibility for custom game setups, allowing for larger-scale matches and unique gameplay scenarios within the private match environment.
Weapons & Attachments
Several weapons and attachments have been tweaked to improve balance and accuracy. The Holger 556’s Ascent Lord Stock description was revised for accuracy. The FR 5.56’s Sprinter & Recon Stock Pad Stocks now correctly list Tactical Sprint Speed. The Rival-9’s Trebuchet Brake Muzzle description was fixed. Significant changes were made to the Haymaker shotgun and Longbow sniper rifle, as detailed below.
MWIII Ranked Play
Ranked Play has received an update to its content restrictions. Specifically, the JAK Glassless Optic has been added to the list of restricted attachments. This change is intended to maintain competitive balance and prevent players from exploiting any potential advantages offered by this particular optic in the ranked environment.
Zombies
Several gameplay issues have been addressed in the Zombies mode. These include fixing issues that prevented Elder Sigils from dropping if players hadn’t completed the Season 1 Dark Aether Rift, preventing Containment Levels from being knocked back incorrectly when exfiling from or leaving Dark Aether Rifts. These changes improve the overall Zombies experience.
GAMEPLAY
Adjustments have been made to the drop rate of Elder Sigils in the Dark Aether Rifts. Players who had not completed the Season 1 Dark Aether Rift were previously unable to obtain them. Additionally, an issue causing incorrect Containment Level reductions upon exfil or match abandonment has been resolved. These adjustments refine the player experience within the Zombies mode.
STABILITY
The update includes various crash and stability fixes, which should contribute to a more reliable and consistent gameplay experience. These fixes target a range of potential issues that could lead to game crashes or other forms of instability, helping to ensure smoother and less disruptive play sessions for all players.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 Patch Notes (March 13, 2024):
Warzone’s Season 2 Reloaded patch brings weapon adjustments and gameplay tweaks aimed at improving balance and addressing bugs. These changes affect various aspects of the battle royale experience, from weapon performance to item availability, to give players a more competitive and refined experience.
WEAPONS
Similar to Modern Warfare 3, Warzone also receives the weapon adjustments mentioned previously. This includes the Holger 556 stock description, FR 5.56 tactical sprint speed correction, Rival-9 muzzle description correction, and the Haymaker and Longbow changes. These weapon adjustments ensure consistency across both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone gameplay experiences.
- Haymaker: The JAK Maglift Kit now has increased minimum and maximum hipfire spread, and tactical stance spread.
- Longbow: The JAK Tyrant 762 Kit no longer provides a hipfire spread benefit and has an increased ADS time.
GAMEPLAY
Gameplay mechanics have been adjusted in this update. Cluster Mines now require two mines to down a full-plated player, while one mine will down a player with no plates. Black Site Key drop rates have increased from 1% to 5%. These adjustments are aimed at improving the balance of lethals and creating new opportunities for securing high-value loot.
BUG FIXES
Several bugs have been addressed in this update to improve the overall Warzone experience. This includes fixing an issue where the Bunker Buster fired from the incorrect position on moving platforms, correcting a collision issue on Fortune’s Keep that allowed players to exploit the map, and fixing a collision issue that made the Geiger Counter irretrievable.
