Black Ops 6 Patch: Weapon Tweaks, Zombies, March 2025

Black Ops 6 March 2025 Patch Update: New Weapon Tweaks, Zombies Fixes and More

Key Highlights of the Update

The March 2025 patch for Black Ops 6 and Warzone brings significant changes to both Multiplayer and Zombies modes, alongside Warzone weapon balancing and critical fixes ahead of Season 3. This update addresses many player concerns and sets the stage for an exciting new season.

1. D1.3 Sector and Ricochet Blades Overhaul

The D1.3 Sector weapon and its Ricochet Blades ammo type have undergone a substantial rework. The developers recognized its limited use cases and have buffed the Ricochet Blades damage to 100, allowing for one-hit kills. However, this increase in lethality comes with a trade-off of slower fire rate and decreased projectile speed. Improved bouncing physics enhance the chaotic potential of this ammo, boosting its impact in both Multiplayer and Zombies. This adjustment is expected to revive interest in the D1.3 Sector weapon for aggressive playstyles.

2. Zombies Mode Fixes and Improvements

Significant Zombies fixes center around the Citadelle des Morts map. A crucial bug concerning The Guardian, the final boss, has been resolved. Previously, The Guardian could bypass the Dying Wish perk, leading to unfair instant deaths. This issue is now fixed, making the boss fight more balanced and enjoyable. Moreover, the Overheat meter display for LMGs using Belt Fed Magazines has been rectified. A known issue with the Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon’s Overheat UI is also being addressed. These changes ensure a more consistent and fair gameplay experience for Zombies players.

3. TMNT Crossover Extended

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event pass has been extended! This exciting addition now runs until March 20th, at 10 AM PT, giving players more time to earn exclusive TMNT-themed cosmetics, Operators, and rewards. This extension is perfect for fans of both franchises to fully participate in the crossover and collect the event-exclusive items before the event ends. It’s likely the event-exclusive items will be highly sought after in the trading market once the event ends.

4. Multiplayer Updates and Bug Fixes

  • Maps: On Bullet, sliding doors no longer open when shot, preventing a tactical exploit.
  • Private Matches: The Infected mode is back in Private Matches after addressing spawn issues.
  • Perks: The Tracker perk’s unintended enemy outline while ADS-pinging has been fixed.
  • Challenges: The D1.3 “Fast Times” camo challenge is now properly tracked.
  • UI: Improved challenge tracking, sorting “Near Completion” challenges by percentage complete.

These adjustments to Multiplayer enhance the overall quality of gameplay and improve the stability of the mode.

5. Warzone Weapon Balancing

Warzone weapons from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 have received adjustments to maintain a balanced competitive environment.

  • SMGs: Superi 46 with the Bore 99 Short Barrel and Rescue-9 Stock now have reduced sprint speed bonuses (reduced from 8% to 4%).
  • Melee: All MW2 and MW3 melee weapons now have tactical sprint speeds aligned with Black Ops 6 mechanics.
  • Specials: The D1.3 Ricochet Blades received the same buffs implemented in Multiplayer/Zombies for Warzone.

These balanced adjustments to Warzone weapons should promote fair and competitive play across the board.

6. Critical Timing Ahead of Season 3

The patch’s timing is crucial in light of the recent dip in player count due to ongoing issues. The update addresses concerns and positions the game for a successful Season 3 launch. Anticipated content for Season 3 includes the return of Verdansk in Warzone, potentially other nostalgic content, and enhancements to both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The update provides a strong foundation for an engaging Season 3.

This patch lays the groundwork for a more enjoyable experience as Season 3 approaches. It’s a good time to be active in the trading community to acquire desired items for Season 3.
