What is the highlight for many?
In Diablo, you can customize your weapons and equipment purely cosmetically – i.e. use transmogs to slaughter through the game in a more stylish way. And from Season 9 onwards, the whole thing is even more convenient: You can equip complete sets with just one click. Previously, you had to laboriously find the set pieces.
To equip all parts of a set, move your cursor to the set item you want to choose and hold down the button that is displayed to you (on PC, it’s the left mouse click). Your player character then wears an entire armor set and you are ready to go – or color it.
This is how the change is received: In a post on Reddit, the user Ropp_Stark points out the new “Quality of Life” feature. His post has already garnered over 1,000 upvotes. In the comments, many are happy about the change, for many it seems to be the highlight of the new season so far. Acog writes: “This is a great QoL change for anyone who has a lot of transmogs!”
Seasonal Features, Uniques & New Activities
What else is new in Season 9?
Season 9 brought both seasonal features in Diablo 4 and permanent updates:
- You get the Horadric spells through a seasonal quest line and use them to strengthen your builds.
- On top of that, there are Horadric Jewels, which you craft with so-called Tomes from Horadric Treasure Chambers. These jewels further strengthen your spells and bring other strong bonuses. They are used in amulets and rings.
- Each class gets a new unique in Season 9. On top of that, the item quality from drops increases depending on the difficulty level.
- You can activate the next Nightmare Dungeon directly in the Nightmare Dungeon and continue without a detour, saving you time and loading screens.
On top of that, Blizzard is mixing up the endgame and some activities in Season 9. The Nightmare Dungeons in particular have received an update, because: There are now escalating Nightmare Dungeons, “Horadric Treasure Chambers” and a few quality-of-life improvements.
With Season 9, Blizzard has brought new uniques for the six classes as well as some buffs to the game. This ensures that the Ghostborn conquers the top of the tier lists, which is mainly due to a new leg armor.
